The neighbors downstairs smoke marijuana and the smell comes into my apartment through opened holes in the walls like the piping under all the sinks and through some holes in the carpet. And during the summer there are termites walking all over the walls. The appliances are old and the fridge makes loud noises. Maintenance takes forever to come or never shows up at all. The carpet has burn holes and is very old and hard like a rock. I chose an apartment with a fireplace and when I moved in, the fireplace was sealed shut. There were gun shots heard and police cars. The neighbors often make a lot of noise at night and some play very loud music with vulgar language. The process to pay rent online is a trap and they charge you $16 to use a debit card. The late rent fee is $50, when I have rented somewhere else that was only $10.
