September 6, 2025The gentleman that works as one of the leasing associates is amazing. My young daughter and I had to move our tv stand in order for our chimney to be maintained and when we got back home to move it back we couldn't budge it at all. It was a Friday afternoon and super hot out but I found Samar doing his rounds with the apartments golf cart and asked him if he would be able to help us. He was so kind and caring and came right to our apartment and moved the furniture for us. I know he had to ...be hot and exhausted from the week but he put our needs first and it was so appreciated. April 16, 2025I've been living here at La Privada for a year now and I really love it. The staff is nothing short of amazing. La Privada: Not So Private, Lipstick on a Pig
February 12, 2025La Privada A not so private or nice complex You can expect exoprbanenet security deposits and fees to apply and secure a unit. Upon getting your unit you’ll be wildly disappointed at the landlord specialesque paint, cleaning, and appliances. A combination of “working” appliances cobbled together from different units for one “working” unit. Your coax and internet cables are old, unable to support anything over 50MPBS and of the 4 coax plugs in my unit, only 1 was connected. Enjoy your 2004 ...internet speeds. Roaches are common from the drains and they only spray for bugs if requested. The windows have no seals and cracks between doors ensuring you will have 300$+ energy bills in the summer Water pipes break constantly and repairs never hold, water is shut down at least once a month for “repairs” leaving entire buildings to figure out their water. Main pool and side pool will be closed at minimum twice a month. Hot tub is never hot and often closed. In the summer the pool has inadequate cooling and maintains a water temp of a balmy 84 degrees or more. The gates are generally broken and were for over 1.5 years of our stay. The side gates that should be key access are constantly propped or have the locks punched out. Rocks are stacked against walls so people can hop the fence back and forth. Had to have police come out at minimum 3 times for people smoking fentanyl next to my car port (3 am gate was wide open), my car being burglarized (gate wide open) and family of an employee leaving their malnourished dogs in the pool area unattended and abandoned. This is 1.2 miles from one of the largest police stations in Scottsdale. Paying for Scottsdale safety and getting Phoenix experience. Mold is apparent in the toilet water supply backs, under sinks, in the floors. Our water heater had been leaking since before we moved in and rotted out the floor was not replaced until I had to say something. Proceeded to leave molded insulation and cut out a small portion, replacing with plywood. Management team has changed a number of times in 2 years and maintenance as well. Any solid maintenance workers have come and gone due to being given run arounds on a reviews for a bonus program (this is unethical and immoral) 2800 security deposit plus first months rent and a number of fees allotted to roughly 4000 in move in costs. Upon move out they intend to hang on to over half of it. Absolute joke of a property old outdated and dingy, look literally anywhere else.Property Manager Responded

It's a Joke
November 11, 2023I've been a resident for four months. We moved in and had five appliances that didn't work (including a seriously clogged toilet and no working dryer). Took a month to get it fixed. I had to go down to the leasing office while potential residents were about to tour and make a loud fuss before something was done. The property isn't COVID compliant with USPS and management didn't like having people pick up packages by the office - which is why you have to pay for Fetch. But, Fedex, UPS, and ...Amazon still deliver to your door. The problem is two of my UPS orders ended up contracting to USPS so they didn't deliver my package, meaning you have to guess what package will be delivered and what wouldn't be. I'm writing this review because for the millionth time, I was woken up by their landscaping team before 8a.m. on a Saturday with power equipment. Their landscaping guys do weird hours apparently? It's not summer, it's the middle of November. Who thought this was a good idea? The walls... aren't remotely soundproof. When we were looking we asked if the gates were closed and we were told "always." The only time I've seen either gate closed in four months was once and the one that was closed didn't have a means of entering the code in.Property Manager Responded

Just Don’t!
July 13, 2023Want my advice? Go rent elsewhere. IF YOU ARE USING THESE REVIEWS TO MAKE YOUR DECISION LISTEN TO THE FOLKS WHO ACTUALLY LIVED HERE. Not the ones who just toured…30 mins of interaction is not the same as day to day. Don’t be fooled. Every other week the pool is closed. Most of the amenities have been closed since I moved here. Don’t expect to be notified of these things. The pool in the dead of the summer was closed for two weeks! When it was cool the jacuzzi never consistently worked meaning ...one day the jets and pumps were fine the next day it’s working. If you come here for a tour look at the knob for the jacuzzi you’ll see what I mean. Haven’t had a gym which was a main selling point for over two months now. The brick buildings seems as though they’d indicate less noise from unit to unit. That is not the case. My neighbor regularly yells and argues with his significant other. The management company overall and the staff are not communicative. Every month there are additional fees here and there with little explanation on your ledger. Expect to be Nickled and dimed . Fees no one mentioned PRIOR to lease signing: Parking fee: $60! To use a carport that’s attached to the townhome unit we have! Like not assigned parking just parking…. REQUIRED mail service: $15 fetch I’ve already had hiccups with not receiving packages through this service. Expect to have your unit be “newly remodeled”but not look like the pictures. We had closet doors off track paint drippings on the floor and counters and they use cheap vinyl STICKERS for the floor. If you move anything across the floor your sticker will come up or be damaged. It’s also going to be hot in your home even with the air on. We have slept in the living room many nights to avoid the heat of our master. We keep ALL of the doors open as well. This is with the ac set to 69 degrees. The only pro is the area around these units is beautiful but if I could leave today I would. This place is def not worth the money we pay to be here.Property Manager Responded

Great area, terrible management
March 10, 2019I have been counting the days until my lease is up. The apartment and complex is nice, but not nice enough to pay almost $200 extra in hidden fees on top of monthly rent and utilities. Every unit pays $45 a month in common area maintenance fees alone, plus a ridiculous energy bill (over $300 a month) in the summer because the apartment did not cool. Finally, every complaint I relayed to the office was met with unreasonable answers and each was response from management was given from a different ...person. I was never able to get anywhere because someone different was always responding. The area is nice, the apartments are large, but the hidden fees and uncooperative management have me eagerly awaiting a new place to live.Property Manager Responded
