Not an apartment - a home!
November 30, 2024I only lived here for a year, but this is genuinely the best apartment complex I've ever lived at. It felt more like a home than an apartment, and the only reason I left was because of a job promotion that took me 90 miles away. Where do I start? First off, there's absolutely a difference in a place like this that's got a single owner as opposed to these other places owned by Realty companies, etc. Every single day I saw the maintenance crew working on something to maintain the property. Any ...time I had a maintenance issue, it was resolved within a day. The neighborhood is SO quiet. I never had issues with loud neighbors. This is a nice little secluded section that's very close to the freeway, but you wouldn't know it walking around. The layout is great - I was in a one bedroom, and the way the apartment is broken up helps to make it feel more like a small home/flat. Having the kitchen separate from the living room unlike most apartments was a big deal for me. Some realities of the area: - RB is near a canyon, so there will be bugs around during Summer. However, this is nothing I couldn't fix with a small bug light! Also, I NEVER saw a single cockroach. For me, roaches are non-negotiable. - There is an elementary school right next to the complex, which is great if your kid goes there, but kind of annoying if you're trying to get to work. If you plan for it, it's no big deal. - This is a GREAT area for night walks, VERY safe. However, not a ton within walking distance. You do have a great Starbucks within walking distance, as well as a CVS, Marco's Pizza, and some other good things. Outside of that, you'll need a bike or car. The office staff is great - Caryn was amazing the entire process of me moving in to me moving out. I really, really miss this place, but at least I know where to go if I end up in San Diego again. Best place for family with younger kids
March 29, 2021The best place to live in Rancho Bernardo for families with elementary school age kids. School is just across the street and kids have many their friends living here. Kids play outside year around. Very safe and brings great feeling of community. Green area is lifted above street level, so kids can’t accidentally run into the road. Maintenance service is alway very prompt and staff is very friendly. A lot of storage in 2brs apts. Love living here!Review from Apartments.com

August 5, 2015This is the perfect place for entertaining, large party room available, olympic sized swimming pool, beautiful landscaping, and always a friendly staff keeping the grounds and units well maintained. Vaulted ceilings, huge kitchen, with laundry facilities in each unit. Large balconies, and your own garage with storage. Minutes from the freeways, you wouldn't know it when you come home to a nice quiet parklike setting. Great barbecue area in a tropical setting. It's like living in paradise.Review from Apartments.com

August 18, 2015This apartment is very nice. It has a super spacious kitchen and living/dining room. The bedrooms are decent sized with ok sized bathrooms. The counter space in the bathrooms are great though! The complex itself is very nice and the maintenance crew does a great job and keeping the outside clean and very nice looking everyday. July 28, 2015Beautiful complex with very nice landscaping in a very quiet neighborhood. Apartments come with some of the biggest kitchens in the area and have more square footage than most other apartments while still having an affordable monthly rent. A very important amenity when we were searching for an apartment was a washer and dryer included in the unit, La Terraza goes above and beyond with all amenities. MY PAD
August 23, 2015La Terraza has been more then my place of residency. It has become my home. I moved to California 11 years ago and first lived in their two bedroom model for six months. I moved to another apartment complex for one year and realized everything other living communities lacked, then returned back to La Terraza. I missed the quality of life, individual garage, personal parking spot, always the best quality up to date appliances, did I mention that washer and dryer are in unit? No lugging laundry to ...some commerce laundry area where you need to carry $10 in quarters just to wait to get an open machine. Close to the freeway, but far enough away that you can escape the noise. Nestled inside a rancho bernardo residential community, you would never know that you are just a renter. Located inside one of the best rated school districts in SD. I lived in their three bedroom unit with the huge patio that accommodated my large garden and still had room for my little ones to ride tricycles around. The pools, two of them, with hot tubs,workout facility, and even a kiddie pool. The real reason to live here though is the people. Amy and Ruth Anne, in the rental office make the process easy, I have lived here ten years and the maintenance crew is world class. They resolve any problem within hours. I haven't had any major issues, however, I have called for minor issues and within an hour the problem is fixed. I.E. freezer wasn't freezing. 2 hours later I had a brand spanking new freezer/fridge with everything inside in the same spot I had it!!! Landscaping crew keeps the place looking like a resort and security crew keeps your stuff safe. I highly recommend this spot. I currently live in a one bedroom with a beautiful view and ice cold a/c and the fastest internet available. Paradise in suburbia
August 9, 2015This apartment complex is called La Terraza. Located right off the I-15 freeway, it is extremely ideal for a commuter! The one bedroom is large but compartmentalized - meaning the open flow from the kitchen to the living room is separated, which is a downfall for me, bust just minor. It is surrounded by neighborhoods and community parks, which is family friendly, safe and fun. It can have a nice balcony view but I didn't get fortunate enough - make sure you ask! In the end, this place is very ...cosy and family friendly, not really the most ideal for singles or college grads, lots of different cultures here due to the tech industry being down the road, but extremely close to the freeway and 25 min drive to the beach in del mar which is why I call it paradise in suburbia.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
