Rodent Problem Is Getting Worse

I have lived in this community for approximately three years. I will be moving out this September because my lease has ended and I decided not to renew for personal reasons.
During the time I have lived here, I have not experienced any major issues inside my unit. Whenever I have submitted a maintenance request, the maintenance staff has responded and resolved the issue quickly, which is something I have always appreciated.

number of rats at night, particularly around the trash dumpster area. Although it appears that some measures have been taken, I do not believe they have been sufficient, as I have recently started seeing rats in the common areas of my building as well.
Over the past few weeks, I have seen rats on two separate occasions. The first time was approximately one week ago at night, in the second-floor hallways. Because of this, I submitted a maintenance request asking management to take action and install traps in the common areas. Unfortunately, the request was closed without any comment, response, or explanation.
The second incident happened today in the afternoon, when my husband saw a large rat very close to the entrance of Building 100, in the parking area. It is particularly concerning to begin seeing rodents during daylight hours, since rats are generally more active at night and frequent daytime sightings can be an indication of a more serious rodent problem.
For this reason, if you are considering moving into this community and are offered a unit in Building 100 or near the dumpster area, I would personally recommend not accepting it until you have confirmed that this issue has been properly addressed.
After living here for three years, it is unfortunate to end my experience with this concern, but I am sincerely glad that I will be moving out soon.
