Bad customer service
December 1, 2024I was really interested in moving into this apartment complex, but my experience with their customer service has made me reconsider. As a first-time renter, I had several questions, but every time I tried to reach out, it was difficult to get a response. When I did get through, the staff seemed uninterested and didn’t provide clear or helpful answers. I even scheduled a tour that ended up being canceled at the last minute with no explanation. For someone new to renting, I expected the staff to ...be welcoming and helpful, but this experience has left me with a bad impression. I’m now hesitant to move forward with this complex and would advise others to consider the quality of customer service before deciding.Property Manager Responded

Low Income Gov. Housing
October 1, 2015It is a okay community. Nice conveniences with both highways really close. Bart,Bay Fair mall, the movie theater, and Walmart are within a 10-15 min walk or a 2 min drive depending on the lights. The staff in the leasing office are awesome. Repair guys are nice too, it is just hard to understand what they are saying sometimes due to their thick accents. Security for the site is lacking. There are many spots that reek of marijuana consistently. They have a nice community garden and 3 medium ...size pools which are kept rather nice during the non-off seasons. The apartments themselves are descent enough. The best quality and size for your dollar. You only get one parking stall, well at least for studios. Other vehicles have to park in a 72 hour spot which has it's good, bad and impossible days depending. Laundry rooms are cleaned regularly, however they machines could use some work. Grounds are kept clean. Clubhouse is a good place to work out and save money on a gym membership.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com

August 10, 2015These apartments are very clean and new. They have an amazing landscape and design and the rooms are spacious. We have a one bedroom apartment and for the amount that we are paying ($1,098), there is a lot of space in here. We can fit a Cal-King in our bedroom and still have a lot of room to walk around. Also we have a walk-in closet. The kitchen was recently remodeled and its very modern looking. Awesome Apartments
September 3, 2015Apartments look modern and luxurious. Awesome clean and very convenient gym with all the basic exercise equipment that you need to get in shape. Pool is lovely and very clean. The snenery at Lakeside makes it feel very lively and bright. The color selection for the outside of the apartments are awesome! Security is onsite. Laundry is insite. 72 guest parking is available as well. The rates are the beat in San Leandro. You pay less for a way nicer apartment than almost any other apartments in the ...area. The location is right in between 580 and 880, LITERALLY right next to both freeways (CAN'T BEAT THAT!). The location is very convenient...VERY. Just down the street is Walmart, Target, bunch of other stores, the Bart, shopping mall, restaurants, buffetts, movie theatre, gas stations, oil change, laundry mat, everything you can think of. Good Apartment to live
August 24, 2015It's a good complex to live in. The apartments are in great condition, have remodeled kitchen, new appliances, new counter tops in kitchen and bathroom. The flowerbeds, water springs, fountains look clean and make apartments to look beautiful. The management is very responsive. This complex in a walking distance to Bart, shopping malls, restaurants, very quick and easy access to 880 and 580. Lots of guest parking. I've been living here for 2 years, so far no problems. Lakeside Village
August 17, 2015they get you in and the take care of their tenants. It's a low income crime free residence. They have security patrol the area during the evening and the collaborate with San Leandro police. The apartments are spacious and remodeled. Balcony/patio space is of decent size and the tenants hear are very diverse. You can enjoy your time in the clubhouse which has an in-home gym. Lakeside is pretty awesome
July 20, 2015So I've lived in Lakeside Village Apartments, and so far my experience has been almost entirely positive. This place is right next to BART, two freeways and the Ghiradelli Cholcolate Factory (among other things...) The staff are always helpful and available 7 days a week, and the on-site gym, laundry and community garden are some of what makes this the best place I've lived in for the past 10 years.Review from Apartments.com

August 26, 2015I've lived in my apartment for about two years. I moved from Southern California to northern California (bay area ). The application process was fairly easy. The apartments have been remodels which is a plus. The amenities are cool too we have a gym, club house , play ground, and three pools. I feel really safe. Nice Place to Live, Average Place to Expect Customer Service!!!!!
August 15, 2015This apartment complex is nicely located around convenient transport (BART) and shopping (Walmart, Target, Bayfair Mall and many others). Its a huge complex recently remodeled that offers affordable rates (you need to be below a certain income limit) in the heart of this ever-getting-expensive Bay Area. The complex has 3 swimming pools, a gym, a clubhouse, and a hangout place for kids. The worst part to live here is to deal with a management that feels and acts like its doing you a favor. ...Customer service is yet to improve in this place. I must say not all of the leasing assistants are bad at this. However the worst is the senior management. My encounter with the Compliance Officer has never been satisfactory. She talks in a rude manner (perhaps without realizing), lacks empathy, uses derogatory words etc. You will be happy to live here without expecting much in customer service.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
