    First, the office staff is very nice and as responsive as they CAN BE to maintenance requests, given that they only have 1 maintenance guy for the entire complex. Here's my gripe... no amenities. - the pool is always closed and filthy - there is no access to the workout room. - no garbage disposal/dishwasher (I should have noticed this when I toured the property. I was in a hurry. No pool and no workout room is a deal breaker for me.

  • Excellent Enviroment

    This place is excellent because I feel very safe here. Also, it’s extremely quiet and peaceful with no one ever disturbing the peace too much. I also appreciate the washer and dryers on location because it’s very convenient for me and others. The place is just an amazing place to call home and I’m very happy I chose to live at this place ! It gives me a warm feeling inside when I think of calling this place, my home !

    I am a student at McNeese University. This is a great location its about a 10 minute walk to the student center or you can take the bus. My apartment is quite and I like going to talk with the staff about anything. They are very friendly and maintenance is quick to respond.

    I highly recommend you check this place out and move in as soon as possible. I’ve lived here for several years and I give the office staff a 5-Star rating. They are very helpful, nice and exceed expectations. They are seriously top tier experts in leasing and so much more. The maintenance crew jumps in and fixes or attends to what needs to be fixed at the speed of light. Seriously get with them and move in!

    Worst place to live. Very unprofessional management. They just want your money. No breakdown of what they are charging you for. Its not worth it at all. Worst worst experience.

      I am not sure what happened in this instance, but we do give out ledgers that breakdown all charges when requested. When you move in, I give a full break down of all charges as well. If this is a current resident, please reach out to us. I have a feeling this was due to an eviction though.

  • Don't recommend

    I highly don't recommend Shadowood apartments. It takes them forever to complete a maintenance request, I usually get someone to fix my problem or I fix it myself. My clothes was stolen out of the dryer in onsite laundry facility, which is located next to the office, during business hours and no one say anything or offered any assistance. It's also not a safe environment for a young single female. I will not be renewing my lease.

  • Great for the price

    PERFECT location, walking distance to major university. 5 min driving to downtown areas, malls, lakes, parks, sports arenas, etc. Not gated, but still maintains a neighborly security. Decent complex, slightly dated appliances, GREAT and speedy maintenance crew, management has changed a couple times since I have lived here. Two story complex, BIG floor plans especially for the price. No gym, small pool Management likes to throw summer pool parties and they are always a blast. Neighbors are ...
    quiet for the most part. All in all, you cant beat this complex for the price, they also offer discounts for students, favored employers, etc. Management is responsive and kind, and maintenance is speedy, efficient, and courteous.
