Peaceful living and great amenities

I like living at Legacy at Linden Park! I have a nice sized apartment, like using the gym and pool, and having the movie room is a nice perk as well. Love my Xfinity internet service too, lots of packages to choose from. Management and maintenance are friendly and quick to help. I also have nice neighbors and there's a lot of good places to eat nearby. This has been one of the best places I've lived in Lynchburg so far. Highly recommend!

Don’t waste your time or money

This place is absolutely ridiculous. The apartment itself isn’t that bad. The people in the office are absolutely terrible to deal with. Don’t get me wrong they all seem like nice enough people. The problem is I don’t think they could figure out how to make a sandwich if they put their heads together. We took over a sublet apartment before we closed on a house. It is dog “friendly” which is why we chose the unit. Took over a sublet for 3 1/2 months for an apartment we needed for 25 days. ...
You do that kind of thing when you have a pet you love. It took way too many calls and emails because apparently no one on their office team was at all on the same page. First day we were supposed to move in we had to stay at an air BNB on the other side of the state because they didn’t put our dog on the lease in the first place even though everyone of the multiple people I talked to was told we had a dog. So we signed all of the paperwork paid all our fees but then had to wait several more days for pet approval that apparently couldn’t even be found by the people at the office. Upon checkout I sent the keys and fobs into the office but they claim they only received the keys. Honestly there are so many things wrong with what they have done I just don’t have the time to write them all down. If you want to live in a place that doesn’t respect your time, money, or family. Well then this is the apartment for you!

My two roommates and I lived here for a year and I will never rent here or anywhere associated with Legacy again. I do not recommend this apartment complex. After completing check out well before our lease ended, we were told everything was done and there were no issues. My roommates and I suddenly received a call from DEBT COLLECTION months later because of water charges, which were 3-4 months back-billed. We were never, ever notified of any outstanding debts-- there were no phone calls, no ...
emails, no letters in the mail for ANY of us. Not only was there no protocol for this issue, Legacy at Linden Park staff was also not helpful in rectifying the situation. Even if you have a forwarding address on your account or continue to live at Legacy, they will not attempt to contact you before sending you, wrongfully, to debt collection. They had nothing to say when we went to ask them what happened. Legacy also admitted it was strange our water bill was so high the last few months we lived here, but also failed to address the issue or refund us for the wrongful charges. Noise complaints were also not taken seriously, despite repeated reports. Please do not choose Legacy, and if you do, please be careful.

We visited Linden on a warm day - so we naturally didn't turn on the heat. When we moved in it was cold. We turned on the heat and a foul odor filled the apartment. The previous tenant was a heavy smoker - the apartment smelt like cigarette smoke and moldy cornbread. In addition the "odor neutralizer" they put in the ventilation system caused a horrible chemical smell to spill through the vents. Multiple witnesses can attest to how horrible the smell is. I stopped breathing and I had to be ...

Our belongings, including my wedding dress and furniture are ruined. My heart stopped while in their property due to their poor management, yet they did nothing to help. The property manager was not empathetic, dismissive, and would not accept a doctor's note. I don't understand why they treat human beings this way or rely on horrible business practices. We've lived at 3 other rentals properties (one of which allowed smoking and all while my health condition was the same), we always paid on time, and have been good tenants. We just want to move on with life but are still paying money to replace and clean items. I hope you'll make it right. And words are not good enough. We've lost so much money because of you. If you make this right, I will update all the review sites and tell them that you do the right thing by your customers when life-threatening issues arrive.

Take my advice and keep looking a little longer. There are several better apartment complexes in Lynchburg that are a better value. You will get more for your buck somewhere else. I rented here as I had to move quickly and once I seen the other options I was disappointed with what I was receiving. If you hope to use any of the amenities be prepared to pay a fee of $300, a fee which some other complexes in the area don't charge. Legacy is a great apartment complex. It was my wife and I's first place after getting married and it was a blessing to live there for 2 years. If we didn't move, we would still be there.

First, during the short period of time I have lived at Linden Park I have enjoyed my stay. The staff is amazingly helpful and I haven't had any issues with my apartment. My only major issue is how they charge me for everything! To have a washer & dryer would cost me $45 a month, which doesn't seem like much at first. But after doing the math I realized it would cost me $540 a year and $675 over my 15 month lease agreement!! For that much I could go to Sears and buy my own washer/dryer bundle. So ...
instead, I decided to pay the $300 amenities fee that would give me access to the gym,washing center, and the pool. Which at first also seemed like a pretty decent deal.....until I went into the washing center and saw that IT COSTS TO WASH!! You mean to tell me I paid $300 to have access to the washing center and I STILL have to pay you to wash my clothes? Ridiculous, being greedy just for the sake of it. I'm surprised they don't have a coin slot on the bench press in the gym.

Best kept secret in Lynchbug apartment living!! Great floor plans, exceptional gym and pool facilities, and affordable -- plus the best staff interactions I've experienced and heard of after 7 years in Lynchburg area (Willowbrook is by far the worst). If you're looking for a great apartment community, look no further than Legacy.
