  • The price does not match the quality

    For the price that Lerner charges, I’ve never once felt this company cared about the quality of the amenities, the care of the residents, or quality service. Since living here, I’ve had numerous problems. From being told “no” when asked to skip a payment during the government shutdown in 2018, having a gun pulled on me by a fellow resident, my bike being stolen from inside my apartment complex, the smell of weed in the hallways, paying for amenities we were not allowed to use during the Covid ...
    pandemic, having my medicine delivery denied when I asked the front office to accept it because the delivery man comes when I’m working and cannot get into the building to leave it at my door, to missing one payment and asking to get my late fee waived and being denied. That doesn’t necessarily sound like home to me. This is by far the worst experience I’ve had with a company ever.

  • Nicest Complex In Northern Virginia!

    We moved into this apartment when it was brand new. The amenities like the pool, fitness center, yoga room, and cafe are everything you could need. You're right across the street from the mall, airport is nearby and parking isn't a problem if you have a visitor pass. Damon in the leasing office went above and beyond to help us with our leasing needs and any apartment maintenance was handled promptly. If you have pets, the pet relief area is bit of a walk but very nice. Overall, I don't have any ...

  • Worst Management and Maintenance I have ever seen

    We moved into Windmill Parc about 2 years ago & before we even moved in we had problems (& from speaking with other tenants, its common with these guys). The building being built when we signed our lease & saw it just before move in & found that our 4th floor apt didnt have a balcony, (the Floorplan explicitly showed it) Their only response was "only the ground floor gets those with this floorplan." We got 2 garages and I asked if the garages have a door with inside acces in them & I was ...
    assured. but that was false. Then on move in day, our fobs werent activated & were locked out of the building. Had to call Maintenance and took hours to get in and even got locked out 1 more time due to unactivated fobs. First use of A/C & it didnt work - Took 3 weeks of constant calls to Lerner to get fixed. Also had our Kitchen Water shut off without notice or approval to enter because of building design flaws putting stress on plumbing causing flooding. Then had our Roof leak once, and took them 2 weeks to even check it out. They constantly have blamed us for their billing system, and automated payment system mistakes including issues with their lease renewal process. These issues have caused us to receive eviction threats. The office constantly accept packages for us/our apt & NEVER let us know. This included a credit card that we had to have replaced & overnighted. The list of problems with Management & Maintenance goes on. They are overall the most incompetent bunch of people I have ever seen, & im surprised they haven't had massive lawsuits yet.
