March 25, 2026 - Review from Apartments.comRUN. BUILDING WIDE ROACH INFESTATIONS. My experience at Los Altos has been EXTREMELY disappointing. I would not recommend these apartments to anyone, especially at the prices they charge for what they advertise as “renovated” units (worst renovation I've EVER seen). From the start, there have been constant issues. The gates are frequently broken, trash areas overflow regularly, and rodents and raccoons are often seen digging through the waste. The internet goes out almost daily, and I receive ...outage notifications every other day. Inside the unit, the problems are even worse. The counters are very old and VERY poor quality There is visible mold, and my AC had to be replaced after I moved in (something that should have been completed beforehand if the unit was truly renovated). None of the faucets were replaced and are literally falling apart from mold damage... There is a building wide roach/pest infestation affecting multiple buildings. I’ve dealt with this for four months, despite multiple treatments and even having my apartment bombed. The issue persists because they continue moving new residents in without completing proper building wide treatment or follow up. Roaches are even visible outside on stairwells, and many residents appear to be moving out because of it. Maintenance is another major concern. Work orders often go unresolved unless you constantly follow up. You may receive emails saying repairs are scheduled, but nothing happens without repeated reminders. There are ongoing leaks throughout the unit bathrooms, sinks, washer hookups, and the refrigerator area. My kitchen floor had to be replaced due to water damage and concern about structural deterioration. I also delt with a broken washer for a few weeks to the point where I needed to borrow one from another vacant unit until my own washer could get fixed! I noticed that maintenance crews often swap the "fixed" appliances from one unit to another rather than fixing the root issue. On top of everything, there is frequent police presence at night, often blocking traffic and adding to an overall feeling of instability in the community. Overall, the property is poorly maintained, management does not properly address serious issues, and the living conditions do not reflect the premium pricing. This has been a stressful and frustrating experience, and I strongly urge prospective renters to look elsewhere.Read MoreProperty Manager Responded

April 3, 2024 - Review from Apartments.comWe moved in on February 10th, 2024 and have had nothing but problems since moving. Our AC broke the first day here, my screen wasn’t attached and just hanging from the balcony, outlets don’t work, the toilet bowl’s continuously run, the parking lot lights are all burnt out, and the neighborhood is INFESTED with ROACHES. We’ve been battling the bugs so much and every time pest control comes, the problem never gets solved. The potholes in the community are enough to damage tires and alignments. The ...next step is getting the health department involved for these uninhabitable conditions. UDR has really dropped the ball on this community for the prices you have to pay. They did a bunch of renovations recently and I love the new cabinetry, appliances, and resurfaced counter tops in my Kitchen! The rooms are Spacious, the Closets are a Great Size, and all my stuff fit great! I love sitting in my Screened In Patio and drink my cup of coffee in the morning and not worry about the FL bugs getting in! All in all Los Altos is a great place, I love my apartment, I never hear my neighbors, the parking lots and ...grounds are clean, the pool and gym always look good and I actually want to use them! It is like living in the woods with the greenery looking off my porch. I enjoy all that is offered by the complex, pool, weight room , tennis court and especially the special cook out, and movies they offer all the residence. The staff is always helpful and grounds kept clean. I have lived here for 8 wonderful years.

July 29, 2015 - Review from Apartments.comOf course there are going to be some great, and some not so great things to say about any apartment complex you live in. This happens to be my boyfriend and I's second home together, the first place was horrible- thankfully I am not writing a review about them! Los Altos is a gated community with 2 decent sized pools, and a fitness center. If you are into weight lifting.. keep your gym membership because there are no weights in this gym. As for parking, forget it. Depending on where you live in ...the complex (and 9 times out of ten you will experience this) it is difficult to find a spot close to you building after 8pm. I don't know about you, but my boyfriend and I have a social life and do enjoy ourselves, yet the feeling of having to walk from 2 buildings down in the middle of the night in an ok area scares me- and my boyfriend hates how far I have to walk alone sometimes. There should be special guest parking so this issue isn't an issue for much longer because it is different nights where you know these cars don't live there. As for the apartment itself, we love it. The design and lay out of the apartment is what we were looking for. Our dishwasher broke down on us in mid-wash and they came out to replace it and moved our dishes from one to the other for us, we have needed a light bulb here and there for the special light fixtures in our home which were easily replaced by maintenance. They have a super friendly staff that many of the members of the community know. Yet the staff in the office isn't as friendly. When we first signed our lease it wasn't an issue, until we started to need to know thing or schedule, then the smiles turned into attitudes, as if we were ruining their day for living where they work. Over-all I would definitely recommend my friends to live here, but only if it was a temporary solution for the year like it is ours. Hope this helped.Read More
