March 18, 2024Pros: - Interior is nice Cons: - Safety. On more than one occasion you’ll see that was some shooting a block or so from my place. Also, the smash and grabs. - Amenities are blocked off to you after 10 PM. - Trash is $80 a month here for one person - You won’t get back your security deposit so consider it a lost cause. - Garage door or gate is always broken - Door fob device is frequently broken - Security personnel in the garage is always sleeping on the job - Sneaky billing. Lydian Management & Holland Residential Are Greedy and Inconsiderate
March 15, 2024The physical building is nice but save yourself the trouble of living here. All landlords are terrible but there are much nicer places to live where hopefully you will be respected by the people you probably give half your paycheck to every month. The current property manager of this building is rude, inconsiderate, and outright mean to residents she does not like. She gaslights people who raise valid concerns and attempts to twist their words. The front desk staff are very kind but they make ...a lot of mistakes. Holland Residential is a greedy corporation that exploits residents, neglects concerns, and relishes in human suffering. They will evict you the second they are legally able to and they take advantage of existing residents. They only care about their bottom line profits and they will treat you like a check instead of a human being. I cannot recommend Lydian or any Holland Residential property to anyone. I really encourage all Lydian residents to share their stories. All my neighbors have an issue with the property manager and larger company. KNOW YOUR RIGHTS AS A TENANT! DO NOT ACCEPT MEGA CORPORATIONS EXPLOITING YOU!Property Manager Responded

Worst complex & management ever
January 2, 2024Lydian is the worst complex i have ever lived in and I hope the absolute worst of them and Holland Partners (their property management company). I lived there for just under a year and the elevators broke down all the time with little to no notice. The entire time i lived there the garage door was broken so they had a “security guard” watch from their car who was either asleep or just watching football on their phone. The only time i ever saw them stock towels or clean amenity rooms or fix the ...coffee machine was before a showing (you’ll never get use those.) Oh and the hidden fees were my favorite feature. Because the dog run needed to be cleaned or there was too much trash (keep in mind the complex was half empty), we ALL were getting $150 charges added to our rent for clean up (WE DONT HAVE A DOG). This is in addition to the fees we already paid for trash and cleaning. By the main reason i beg you to stay away from Lydian is because they are shady and terrible people work there. We moved out early, paid our $18,000 lease break and then for the next 6 months called me every week to demand payment. However, i took screenshots of my payment and send them numerous emails, but they lost the payment and were quite sure that i needed to pay again. So i sent them bank statements proving the payment posted and gave them their verification number. They never stopped calling. When i threatened legal action they sent a collection agency. I sent the agency my documents and they backed off, just to be sent another agency again. So we called Lydian to have them try help us. But they weren’t taking our calls so we called from my wife’s number and then they picked up. But still wouldn’t help us resolve the issue with Holland partners. Excellent building, staff and location
June 21, 2021I couldn't be happier with The Lydian. I looked at many apartments in Oakland and San Francisco and Lydian was by far the best of the bunch which is why I chose to move here. The team working here is highly attentive and they made my moving process very easy and enjoyable. I was helped very well by Paul and Molly, they definitely know what they are doing and I enjoyed working with them. As far as the apartment goes, its top of the line.
