Poor communication from management with ongoing maintenance issues.

MAA Southwind, was promised a renovated apartment during initial rental agreement. Arrived from WI, to find unit was not renovated, water heater broken, stove broken, ect. with no place else to go. They finally agreed to have rent reduced to non renovated rates and fixed the mechanical issues. (Many cosmetic remain). During first year had multiple issues with facility including mail box being broken and waiting for repair for over 2 months so had to drive each week to post office to get mail as ...
they would not deliver until apartment made repairs and made mail boxes secure. Communication with management is difficult at times, and while not necessarily their fault every time, water repair issues have had apartment without water for multiple occurrences for hours to full days at a time, sometimes with no prior communication. 1 year renewal is now here and rates are increasing with no effort to keep in line with fare market rates unless you renew for a full year. 2 bedroom 2 bath.
