Unapologetically unlivable
April 20, 2021I have had water leaking into my apartment for over a month after I reported it. It leaks over a light switch and into a light fixture. The office told me to contact my renter's insurance to get a hotel. I did, and they denied my claim because the property manager told them there was no hazard. The property blames the insurance company, the weather, the repair company -- everyone and everything else -- for the lack of repairs. A few extras: DISHWASHER NOT INCLUDED, don't be fooled by the floor ...plans. My car was hit in the parking lot. The bathtub was painted with acrylic paint that peels when I shower. Terrible place
September 13, 2020I lived here for a year, left as soon as I could. Terrible place. beetles, cockroaches, very poor repair. screams at night, as soon as a man is cut with a knife, the police very often come. Cigarettes and marijuana are smoked on the grounds and on the stairs. Deceived when checking in for $ 300 for some incomprehensible insurance. Never live here. Bugs, Bugs, Bugs
February 14, 2018This place is infested with. Cockroaches, Bed bugs, and other types of Bugs to the posing that the Tri County Pest Control comes 4 times a month and sprays poison all thru the buildings. Don't waste your money living here breathing in poison. The managers will lie to get you in and then rip you off when you move out. This place should be Condemned.Review from Apartments.com
Bedbugs
November 15, 2017Living at Meridian Gardens was a truly unpleasant experience. I started to notice mattresses and furniture constantly out by the dumpster. Within a month and a half, I found bedbugs in my apartment. As a clean-freak, I had never had them before and I was devastated. After immediately calling pest-control and hauling my clothing/bath mats/shower curtains, etc down 4 flights of stairs to launder, I was terrified it would happen again. I put everything I owned in plastic. Spent $600 on new bedding. ...5 weeks after the harsh pest control spraying, one night I came home and there was a live bedbug on my bath mat and 2 cockroaches in my impeccably clean kitchen. At that point, I didn't want to go through all that again so I immediately moved out. This describes the main reason why I would never ever recommend this dump. I also had a bashed in door and an air conditioner that didn't work when I moved in. This all being said, the only redeeming quality of Meridians Gardens was Alid, the maintenance guy and the landlords, who resigned. However, there are live bedbugs in the building and filthy people living there. It was a tragic situation for me because I was initially excited about living without a roommate for once and decorating a place all my own. However, I now have new context for the saying "goodnight.
