        the area is great. The buildings are falling apart.. Maintenance puts Band-Aids on everything. They try to update but do a really bad job on the details... The office is nice, but they could care less, and just want to rent a place out. There are nicer apartments in the same price range.

      • Best complex in Lexington

        I was a resident for 4.5 years, and enjoyed every day at Merrick Place. I don't think there is a more beautiful or more well-kept apartment community in Lexington. The proximity to downtown and UK's campus are fantastic, and the nearby shopping center (Tate's Creek Centre) was very convenient in my day-to-day life. The on-site restaurant, The Merrick Inn, continues to be one of my favorite places to eat, and one of the best eateries in the entire Commonwealth. If you are looking for an ...
        apartment in Lexington, I do not think there is a better option than Merrick Place.

      • Best Complex in Lexington

        Merrick Place is the best place I have lived in Lexington, KY. In fact, it is the only apartment complex I have ever renewed my lease with, and I have lived in at least 5 different complexes around the Tate’s Creek/Nicholasville Road area. The staff is great, the maintenance crew it out of this world and the apartments are generally of a really nice quality. Seriously though, maintenance always comes out within at least a day of putting a request in. My favorite aspect of the apartments here is ...
        that despite the fact that the complex is massive with hundreds of residents, it’s not incredibly noisy. The walls aren’t paper thin like most other complexes. Also, they throw awesome parties with free food and drinks! What more do you need? 10/10 would recommend to any one looking for somewhere to live in Lexington.

        Merrick Place does an excellent job of taking care of it's residents! The office staff, maintenance crew and grounds people are always friendly and courteous. They go out of their way to offer 5 star service to make sure every resident feels welcome and AT HOME. I highly recommend!!

      • Not as great as they appear

        May 8, 2019
        Apartments are not insulated well. Outside walls are freezing in the winter and you can feel air through the outlets. Windows were not hung properly and leak. Siding is falling off and wasps are making nests in the walls. We had a few make their way inside last summer and management did nothing. We have an ongoing water leak that they are not fixing and currently pay over $150 a month in water. Noticed flooding in our kitchen and notified them, they have not fixed the water damage in the walls.

          We are sorry you are not pleased with some things in your apartment. All work orders were pulled for your home, and our records show everything was completed. Our extermination company plus our maintenance tech has been there to spray for wasps. We are sorry you feel this way and we will try to do a better job.       • GREAT PLACE TO LIVE!

        My son lived at Merrick for almost two years while getting his degree at UK. We absolutely loved it here! It is close to everything but feels secluded and safe. The staff is helpful and friendly and maintenance was quick in getting anything done. I really hated to have to move but had to relocate for grad school.

      • Affordable and Easy to Maintain at Merrick Place

        This townhome is lovely, old but strong and easy to keep clean. The location is about as secure and quiet as you can get within the complex. Parking can be a little erratic, you can always find a spot but your not always sure where that spot will be or how far (no more than a short walk). Maintenance is quick to respond to problems I have had no problems with management so far. Overall I am very satisfied with my current home and hope to stay here for as long as I can!

        I'm a graduate student and moved in a month ago from a different apartment complex in Lexington, and LOVE it! Merrick has a great neighborhood feel, the grounds are so well kept, the amenities are great, and the price is even better. Good location too. Would highly recommend!

        I love living here. They keep it beautiful year round. I feel very safe here and it has a great sense of community. Ages range from college students to seniors (whom they host monthly lucheons). Everyone is always friendly and the complex makes a big loop great for those with dogs. Maintenance is always prompt in responding. During the heavy snows this year, they did awesome in keeping everything plowing. I would recommend Merrick Place to anyone looking for a wonderful place to call home.
