When I moved in (2018), it started out well. Very good price, office staff was professional and considerate, maintenance was excellent. It was great to move into a brand-new apartment as well. However, from 2018 – until I moved out in 2021, the security gates and parking were a mess -- poor planning with not enough spots for the residents. And the gate was subpar and not user friendly. I spent most of my time trying to explain to my guests and delivery people on how to get through the gate. And
...whomever came up with that particular kind of keyless lock on the front door should be fired.
I spent over 6 months with maintenance calls of my door not working. Maintenance would change the battery each time and I kept insisting that it was not the battery. They continued to ignore my requests to replace the lock. Finally, someone changed the lock after over 6 months of me calling for maintenance because I couldn't lock my door at the most inconvenient times. Each year, service got worse as rent increased. After they opened back up after COVID, it really got worse. Each maintenance request required 3 steps 1) submitting a request online, 2) then calling the office MULTIPLE times, 3) then finally going to the office before someone would come to my apartment for simple maintenance requests. The property manager is unprofessional and inconsiderate and really it is not a surprise that her office staff is unprofessional and inconsiderate.
Then when I moved out, I had my apartment professionally cleaned at my expense, did the walk-through with a maintenance guy and he gave me the all-clear however, I still got bogus expenses taken out of my security deposit. There was absolutely no damage to my apartment and it was beyond clean from top to bottom. The rent they charge is not worth it! I am HAPPY that I moved out of there. I just wish I had done it sooner. DO NOT under any circumstances move here. Find somewhere else to stay. There are better apartments with better prices and service. RUN AWAY from MiLa Apts!
