The office staff has originally was great, and now is charging me through the roof for things I was never notified 2 months post-move out
December 10, 2024I loved living here until my apartment flooded and my entire bathroom wasn't usable for a whole month and I had maintenance men in and out of my house all day long. They would leave my apartment door open and unlocked while I was at work and would leave a mess every time never fixing the issue, and eventually, the apartment had me move to a new apartment in the complex. I argued to pay only half my next month's rent because of the damages to my furniture due to the flooding and for the ...inconvenience of constantly having to come home from work to another mess and having strange random men in and out of my apartment the whole time. Once I finally got to a new unit and finished out my lease the front office staff was nice to me, but extremely behind on several things. We pay for bugs to be sprayed and our air filters to be changed and neither ever happened the whole time I lived there. Then once I was finishing my lease I asked for a checklist of move-out things to do and never received one. Then within an hour of me turning in my keys I was charged over $400 in random fees for things I either left in the apartment or that they didn't approve of, even though I asked about holes in the wall and several other things. I sent an email to management repealing the fees and never heard back for 2 solid months and then was told they never received my email and I still owed them. The management staff wouldn't even talk with me on the phone or email me back they just attached photos of my apartment and sent them back including random things that were never discussed. Extremely rude and unprofessional and I would NEVER live here again no matter how 'cute' these apartments are they do not take care of what's important at all. I also lived in a brand new apartment and there was still major plumbing issues for me and all the 5-6 neighbors around me and in the new unit they moved me to.Property Manager Responded

BEWARE
September 26, 2024This is the worst apartment I have ever lived in and it’s supposedly brand new. But beware nothing is new inside the apartment they are built with used appliances. Countertops are crap and they just piece stuff together. I moved in with a huge gap underneath the patio door and the management said that was normal and the clear door sweep would help with the gap that allows light and bugs inside the apartment. Then they argued with me instead of just fixing the problem. Also if it’s brand new then ...why do some u it’s have window AC units hanging out of the apartment? The management is horrible at fixing anything too I waited 3 weeks for my mailbox lock to be fixed and I just moved in. I would not recommend this place to anyone. September 18, 2024We have lived in this apartment complex for a year, and our experience has been overwhelmingly negative, primarily due to the office staff. While the apartments are new, the management issues have made our time here challenging. First and foremost, the front desk employees leave much to be desired. Their unprofessional demeanor and lack of helpfulness create a frustrating environment. When residents approach them with questions or concerns, they often respond rudely or dismissively, making you ...feel like a burden rather than a valued tenant. Instead of addressing issues constructively, they seem more focused on complaining about residents, which is unacceptable. We've faced ongoing maintenance problems, including water leaks under doors and pests emerging from the walls. The apartments are poorly sealed, which should have been addressed before leasing. Additional maintenance issues include community lights being left on all day and sprinklers malfunctioning during rainstorms, causing flooding in the parking lot that takes days to resolve. When complaints are raised, the staff often gives generic responses about being “on a schedule,” which is unhelpful and frustrating. Moreover, the management's approach to community engagement is flawed. They schedule resident events during typical working hours (3 PM - 5 PM), which effectively excludes those of us who work 9 to 5. It's as if they don’t genuinely want residents to participate or simply don’t want to stay late to accommodate us. Lastly, the lack of privacy is alarming. Staff have entered apartments without prior notice, raising concerns about security and respect for personal space. Overall, we are choosing not to renew our lease due to these persistent issues. Until significant changes are made, particularly regarding staff training and responsiveness, I cannot recommend this complex. Please, know that it is a best practice to carefully inspect & complete a walk-through in the evening. (applies to any other apartment complex you may consider as well) Roaches are nocturnal so more active/visible after dark. Research what signs of their presence to look for. Excellent Single Story Apartments!
November 21, 2023I have lived at Monarch Pointe since they have first opened and could not be happier with my experience so far. The property Manager and staff are extremely friendly, helpful, courteous, and go out of their way to accommodate my needs. These are single story apartments that look very nice on both the inside and outside and the complex has fantastic amenities such as a pool and gym that are accessible as a resident. The complex also is in a great location and I am within walking and short driving ...distance from many great restaurants, bars, and business’s. The complex is quiet, clean, modern, and I have not had any issues with neighbors or excessive noise. I I highly recommend Monarch Pointe if you are looking for a great place to live in the Lubbock area!Property Manager Responded
