North Gate Review
August 11, 2015North Gate Apartments in Anderson, SC is located in the heart of Anderson. Constructed of brick and with beautiful outside decor, it is owned privately and is well maintained. There are approximately 50 two-bedroom apartments in the complex with half being on the second level. Each one is decorated differently. There are outside lights in the parking areas as well as all sidewalks to the dumpsters and the pool. You need not step in any dirt or grass to get to any other areas in the complex. ...The landlord/owners are respectful of their tenants. There is no smoking allowed inside and no pets allowed, which makes for a clean environment if you suffer from any kind of allergies. I was amazed when they told me no tenants with small children were rented apartments on the second floor. They are very strict about who they rent to and if there is a problem with anyone, it is taken care of as soon as possible. Maintenance problems are taken care of immediately if an emergency and sometimes even if it isn't! All problem calls are usually taken care of in one day or less, given no parts having to be ordered. Not only this, but the landscaping is immaculate. The swimming pool is centrally located and never have I seen the water dirty! The apartments themselves are located almost in the middle of all main shopping malls and major department stores and within a few miles of schools. I can be at The Anderson Mall, Walmart, Kohl's, Lowe's, Target, Best Buy, Staples, Ross, Bed Bath and Beyond, Michael's, (and many many more) within 5-10 minutes. And this is not to mention 3 major grocery stores, and numerous banks also very close by. There are way too many nice restaurants and fast food places to name within the same distance. Just off Clemson Blvd., the main hub for everything in Anderson, North Gate Apartments is only about 1 mile from Darwin Wright Park on beautiful Lake Hartwell and 2 miles from I-85. All things considered, the rent is considerably lower than most in the area with the same amenities. I was shocked at the competitiveness of the rent which is the reason I left a previous complex. (The rent had increased by $80 in the 2 years I was there.) The landlord at North Gate told me they would not raise the rent for approximately 3 years when I moved in!
