  • Worst Apartment In Dallas

    DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! I moved here December 2025 to get back on my feet while attending school. Upon moving in, I was informed that the apartment wasn’t ready because it was being cleaned. When I finally moved in, the apartment was the complete opposite of clean, the laminate flooring was burnt and covered in blue/white paint that rodents left footprints in because the door had been open. There is a german roach infestation as well even though we are charged for pest control and have not received a ...
    service once. The refrigerator was molded with roaches in the freezer vents, spiders crawling all over the cabinets with cobwebs everywhere. The carpet was never cleaned, items from the last tenant were left behind everywhere including roaches imbedded in the carpet. Stickers are all over the walls and painted over. There are many gaps all over the apartment which allow pests to come in and were never sealed properly. There are dead roaches in the vents that were never replaced which is a health hazard, and all the blinds/walls were left filthy. This may be one of the worst apartments in Dallas and they call themselves trying to rebrand their image. There is lots of gun violence in these apartments with multiple units being shot up and bullet holes left for months. Rodents and stray cats get into your trash because it doesn’t want to be picked up even though you pay a trash fee. Your vehicle will be towed even if you register it as a visitor which will cost almost $300 to retrieve. Your mail will be stolen as well because most of the boxes are broken into (I had a check from a previous employer mailed, stolen and cashed) I also haven’t had AC in almost 2 months after placing a maintenance request. Btw if you are a week or 2 late on rent for any mishap, management will file an eviction on you, and give you a court date on top of $400+ in “fees” added to rent

  • It’s been 2 months I paid 50 dollar to add my husband to the lease

    It’s been 2 months I paid 50 dollar and bring all the forms for them to add my husband to the lease. They took the money and the form they they didn’t send us email for us to sign it. Now they’re charging for parking space 7 dollar and my husband have been paying it since July 18th. We are busy and both barely stay home. Anytime I get a chance to the office their system is always down. If they can’t add my husband to the lease they can cancel my lease and that’s it. Do not rent from this ...

  • DONT MOVE THERE UNLESS YOU LIKE ROACHES AND WATERBUGS

    If I could give zero stars I would. I wouldn’t even offer these apartments to a homeless person. The maintenance people lie about coming to fix stuff and they don’t. I’ve been waiting since 5/26/23 for them to come fix things in my apartment. They marked them as complete. When I called the office they said they were going to reopen my work orders and never did.     got the apartment I was told that I was going to be on the second floor. Move in day I found out I’m on the first floor. My first time coming into my apartment it smelled like pure urine and cigarette smoke. I’m allergic to cigarettes and the smell messes with my asthma. No matter how many candles and how much I clean the cigarette smell still takes over. I seen where the maintenance men brought the oven from upstairs to my unit. The oven is broke and the light doesn’t work. I told them that day the oven light was out. They said they were bringing one and never did. My dishwasher is full of mold. I’m still waiting for them to bring one. A gecko came up my kitchen drain Multiple times. They’re waterbugs everywhere in the master bedroom. I can’t sleep in my room due to the fact the waterbugs are unacceptable. I can’t even sleep in my apartment because the waterbugs have taken over. My main close in the bedroom smells urine as well. It’s also full of waterbugs. My bedroom room has shattered glass from the previous window. I can clearly see how the waterbugs are getting in. My front door is still open at the bottom. I don’t feel safe going to sleep knowing somebody can easily kick my door in. When I lock the door from the outside I am able to push my door all the way in like it’s about to open. I asked to switch units multiple times but nothing has been done.

  • Signed a Lease with No A/C

    August 8, 2022
    This company is fully aware that they have a issue with A/C units. They allow you to move into a hot apartment, telling you it would be fixed. Once you sign that lease believing that things will get fixed, they will then ignore you. They don't answer the phones and do not return emails. The only way of contacting North Star is by walking into the office. The owner and office staff is completely disrespectful. BE CAREFUL moving here. You will regret it as soon as you have keys.

  • Don’t move here

    They don’t do walk through a before you move in , there isn’t a cleaning lady the apartments will be dirty. My ac didn’t work when I moved in neither did my refrigerator and my food spoiled because they took over 9 hrs to fix on my forest day moving in! The roaches are horrible pest control doesn’t help they are EVERYWHERE inside and outside, there isn’t a gym, no washer or dryers in unit or hookups , pools dirty and was locked for the WHOLE month a June. The office doesn’t call you back. ...
    Maintenance sometimes take forever to fix things no matter how many times your work order is put in the will say it’s finish.

  • They would not replace our neighbors AC when it was 105 outside

    Our neighbors who have multiple children lost their AC and it was down for 4 days and the complex refused to help them. It’s literally 105 degrees out and no window units were dropped off or anything and it’s been days. We stopped by the office so many times and we were told they are busy or “didn’t have the keys”. This is dangerous and inhumane. We bought and installed a window unit (which we won’t be refunded for) and when Dallas Code Compliance came the apartment management lied and took ...

  • my AC has been not working for a month.

    I move here in January of this year. In late February I noticed that the AC was not working properly. I notified that to the office staff, they told me they will send maintenance to fix the AC. Well a week latter I went back to remind them my AC still haven’t been fixed. This time I informed them about an smell of natural gas in the room where the washer and dryer goes. So they told me they will send maintenance to check that out and fix my AC. Another week passed and they still have not come ...
    over yet. So I went back to the office. This time they told me that they don’t have the key of my apt therefore, they couldn’t get in. I say okay well here’s a copy of the key. They added that there’s nothing with the use of gas in the apt so it most be something else’s. Today March 24th is a month since I reported my AC was not working and they still haven’t fixed. I have contacted the corporation and they have done nothing. Yet they are sending emails informing the residents that they need to pay rent for the month on time. So they don’t give a care to fixe the problems that are important like non-working AC. This place it’s awful. I am telling you DO NOT move in here if you have other choice. Trust me that’s a serious problem. And that’s not all. The place is very loud, the parking lot is dark at night That you cannot find your own apt. There’s always people hanging on their cars there are gun shots at night.

  • unprofessional office

    I’ve asked multiple times for a copy of my lease violation as well as a copy of my contract and have yet to receive a reply or an update. I need a copy for my records because I was not aware. I also asked what’s the protocol when maintenance enters your home. Please advise. I’ve never had to ask for any document that I am entitled to multiple times. I was also told that I can give a 60 day notice if I am unhappy. I need to know if there will be any penalties. I also asked for corporate ...
    information and haven’t got that information either. It is very unprofessional for both of you to ignore my email and not send me what I am asking for. This is beginning to be a problem that I need escalated quickly. My lease is not even signed correctly so I don’t even think the lease violation is valid. It’s your job to make sure you have an executed contract. I need someone to contact me ASAP. I will get a tenant lawyer involved if I don’t get the things I am asking for. I noticed that the property manager as well as her boss blocked me from emails. This is so sad.

  • Just don’t!

    The management here is deplorable! They have no respect for anyone’s time and they show no courtesy unless you are paying your rent. They do not want to do the simple maintenance and their answer to everything, is we can’t or we don’t. Don’t waste your time or money on this place! -Signed, “waiting on my lease to be over”

    To create a park for children to play. Security camera at some places around the back sides that is close to the high way. Check the water bills, most time its too high. Too much of roaches....... something really has to be done on that.
