Amazing experience with Oakbrook Village
May 8, 2024I have been here for a year now, and this is the second good review I am leaving. The management is amazing and takes care of their residents, maintenance is always prompt. Grounds are very well maintained, clean and safe. Apartment are all updated and clean, and each apartment comes with washer/dryer which is a huge bonus. I am now upgrading to a bigger unit with them, and Melissa and Dawn have been absolutely amazing and very patient with helping me through the moving process. 100% ...recommend!!Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
!!!! Renters beware
March 9, 2024I recently had the unfortunate experience of renting an apartment in Oakbrook Village. To put it bluntly, the management of this place is an absolute disaster. From the moment I moved in, it became apparent that they couldn't care less about their tenants. First and foremost, let's talk about the management's handling of deposits. They have absolutely no qualms about holding onto your hard-earned money for an absurd amount of time. Three months? Try more like eternity. It's like pulling teeth ...trying to get them to release your deposit back to you. They seem to think it's their own personal piggy bank, and they're not eager to part with it. And if you think that's the worst of it, think again. The way they treat tenants is downright appalling. It's like they have a playbook on how to make your life as miserable as possible. Maintenance requests? Good luck getting those fulfilled in a timely manner. Need something fixed urgently? Don't hold your breath. It's as if they take pleasure in making you jump through hoops just to get basic amenities in working order. Communication with the management team is also a nightmare. They're elusive, unresponsive, and downright rude when you do manage to get a hold of them. It's almost as if they see tenants as an inconvenience rather than valued residents. Overall, if you value your sanity and your hard-earned money, steer clear of Oakbrook Village Apartments. The management is a disgrace, and they'll make your living experience a living hell. Pest Problem and Over Priced
February 4, 2023Don't rent here unless you want rats and roaches as your roommates. The office is closed when residents need them and the manager won't talk to you face to face. You pay way too much for the space you get, and all the problems that happen.Property Manager Responded

Needs work.

February 17, 2023We apologize that you feel the office is not communicating to your satisfaction. The office does its best to prioritize residents' issues. Please keep in mind that the office managers will always return a phone call or email in a timely manner. Parking should not be an issue as long as the resident has a parking decal, guests can park in any marked visitor spot for no more than 72 hours. If your guest is staying longer than 72 hours please email the office to have the guest put on restriction. Please email the office if you feel as though the parking rules are being violated. As for the updates, every apartment has been fully updated within the last few years. If you are having issues with any windows or doors please put a work order in through the resident portal.

Solid Place To Live
November 29, 2022Honestly, a solid place to live. Melissa and Rachel in the office are great. They always make sure my work orders get taken care of and done correctly. My apartment looks great and is functional. There is a good amount of storage in the apartments and parking is usually great. The complex/my apartment is functional and the cost of rent is much better than most complex’s around us. I’ve been living here for almost 2 years and plan to extend my lease for at least an additional year (basically until ...I’m able to buy a house).Property Manager Responded

Not a bad place to lay your head!
February 7, 2021I've been a resident of Oakbrook Village for over a year and find it to be a decent, quiet place to reside. Currently in a non-renovated unit. Upon move in was disappointed with the turnover maintenance of the unit, i.e . drawers painted shut, sloppy patchwork at baseboards and spackling, however the unit was exceptionally clean. Manager, Melissa is professional and knowledgeable. Changes to other office staff since my move-in was a definite improvement and welcomed change. Maintenance has been ...responsive and timely. A lack of a washer/dryer hookup is my chief complaint in unit, on site laundry facilities are older and outdated but inexpensive which is a plus. If you are looking for a decent affordable residence, Oakbrook Village is worth looking into. Non-Upgraded versus Upgraded
January 3, 2019The non-upgraded apartments do not come with hook ups. Only the upgraded apartments include washer/dryer. The laundry facilities are not owned by the community so therefore this is a not a community issue. I am currently renting a non-upgraded apartment and will be transferring in March. People who complain about the community just can not afford to live here and are miserable individuals. If you are not happy move out, no one likes to here negative feedback about a community that has done a ...complete 360 within 12 month. This community was terrible before they new owner and staff took over in January.
