Not renewing my lease
November 29, 2022This place has a really bad bug problem. I’ve had the pest control company come out multiple times over the past year and the bugs are still everywhere! It makes it so uncomfortable, I can’t even walk around in my own home without shoes because fears of stepping on a roach! The complex is quiet, very laid back, the apartments are pretty ok. November 25, 2022I am never one to leave reviews but people need to know that 1) This complex is ROACH infested. I will come home and kill 5 or more all around my island kitchen. I’ve cleaned by apartment from top to bottom, but the pests are in the walls. I’m frustrated and disgusted to the point of tears. Pest control is by request only, when requested, they only come on Tuesdays, so if you have a pet and a full time job, your out of luck of getting them to safety before they spray your home with poison. I’m ...terrified for my and my cat’s wellbeing with how much roach spray and bombs I’ve had to use. Nothing works. They come back the next day. 2) Garbage service is inconsistent. And, since there are so many stray cats in the neighborhood, there is the likelihood that your trash bags will be ripped open before they’re picked up. And if they’re ripped open, the trash will stay in the halls indefinitely. 3) Office staff is super nice but if packages go to the office, you are not notified. I’ve had packages missing for months because I was told all mail goes to the mailboxes instead of ever the office. I can’t wait to move. I came here to be closer to work but I’d rather drive an hour every morning then stay here another lease term. This complex definitely looks nice on the outside, and there are some perks but I am miserable. Just NO
November 9, 2021I normally don’t leave reviews, but since my time and money were both wasted I shall, to help anyone else thinking of moving here. This apartment is unkept and filthy. I expected to move in on my move in date and walked into a trap house. Stove dirty and rusted, fridge off white with stains and unclean, bathroom and kitchen floors dirty and covered in paint, tub unfinished and gross, sewage flies and roaches. The worst part is I was told they’d paint over things and spray. Not okay. Mind you I ...wasn’t ever able to move in so lost my $300 holding fee on an apartment I was never able to move into. Completely inconvenienced and staff had the nerve to have an attitude when they had one job. Seems leasing office employees are getting really lazy these days. Save yourself the trouble and save your hard earned money for somewhere else! January 16, 2020Been here for close to 2 years now, and it just keeps getting better. Finally a place where management CARES about their residents and treats them like family. May 24, 2019They have changed property management like 5 times... So you can understand the problem. THE COURSTEY OFFICER IS A JERK. And totally devalues this property. Would Not Recommend Oakwood Vista. Poor Service. Poor Quality.
March 29, 2016I am moving out of this apartment community in two weeks and could not be happier. I lived here for a year and I had a terrible experience. The management team is extremely unprofessional and do not care about the needs of their residents. There is a major bug problem and this is not a "gated community" as advertised because the gate never works. The apartment is extremely old and worn down and smells come into your apartment from your neighbors. They recently painted the outside and use paint in ...the inside to make it look newer but once you move in you find out how worn down everything is. I never felt safe living here and I would not recommend this apartment community to anyone. Overall pretty decent
August 12, 2015I've been living in Oakwood Vista a little over 2yrs now, and for the most part it's a good place to live. The only problems I can think of are I've had a few issues with delayed repair orders, people cut through our apartments to get to the cheaper ones behind our complex, and there's not enough parking in front of some buildings.Review from Apartments.com
