The are in West LA where this apartment is located in tends towards the more expensive side under the assumption that the good location means the apartment complexes don't need to have any sort of amenities. They'll also up your rent as much as they can at the end of your lease year on the gamble that you're too lazy to move, or that the location is convenient to the surrounding universities (UCLA, SMCC, and WestLA) that you're willing to stay put for that convenience. That being said, the ...
apartments here come with fridge, microwave, carpets, and blinds, which I can't say happens often in WestLA apartments. The neighborhood is also great, and the weather is always way cooler and less humid than the valley, so there's that. Traffic is awful though.
