Water lines are rusted and the whole building is under construction.
August 4, 2021I’ve been here for over a year and they’ve shut the water off on us 4 times already with little to no communication. The management doesn’t care about the residents here as I’ve specifically brought issues to the property manager and have been ignored. You will be constantly awoken by power tools and hammering while you live here and your rent will increase every year despite having no repairs or updates done to your apartment. Liars and Horrible Management
July 26, 2021The manager assured me the check out process is an honorable one. Not the case. These apartments are 65 years old yet they hold your security as if thought they are brand new. New manager here, and he definitely didn't hold up the old Manager's promise. Place is a dump. Smells and looks like an old hospital. Do not expect to get your Security Deposit Back
July 19, 2021Park Tower is not very fancy, but it does offer a competitive price compared to many surrounding buildings. In general, do expect trash to be left in stairwells, washing machines to be broken and filled with water till it smells, and certain amenities to just not be available for the entire year you live there (Looking at you intercom). After all that, and compared to the price and location, I still think it is a decent deal. That is until I tried to move out. I moved into a fairly dirty ...apartment. I filled out the check-in form very thoroughly and took pictures, but did not mind that much as it meant that I wouldn't be charged for cleaning when I moved out. Boy was I wrong. Even though I moved into an apartment with dust coating the ceiling fans, where the oven had cheese baked on everywhere, where there was a very large carpet stain, and where there was candy left in the cabinets. Even though I spent an entire day cleaning the apartment after I had moved out and before I turned my keys in. They still withheld a large portion of my security deposit for cleaning. They offered me partial returns of the deposit if I settled, but so far I have refused. The new property manager tells me it is impossible for him to get access to my check in form, and the company that has it refuses to return my calls or emails. I would advise you not to live here, unless you are perfectly fine donating your security deposit to Wisconsin Management Company, or if you are prepared to go to small claims court to get it back.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Will Miss It For Sure!
July 14, 2020This was my first apartment,and I'm sad to go. I will miss the neighborhood, my gardening (I had my own plot there), the view, and I will miss chatting with the property manager. She was always so funny. Hope she stays there because I was there for 3 years, and the first two were not the best. Will miss this place...sad to go!
May 20, 2020I recently moved out, and I can't say how much I will miss it. I was there for several years, and for a 20 something it is absolutely perfect. I will miss my apartment so much, and walking to Hilldale and laying by the pool. I will miss it fondly, and will miss Jim (the maintenance guy) and his corky attitude. The manager (she has a different name and I don't know how to spell it or pronounce it so I won't even try lol) definitely improved the place and was always super responsive and helpful, ...and hope she stays there because the only negative thing I will say is that I saw a lot of managers come and go, but that is common I guess in property management.
