Plumbing & Odor Issues – Not the Same Place It Used to Be

When I moved in two years ago, this apartment was a well-managed place with great reviews and no major issues — and for a long time, I was very satisfied. However, things have changed significantly over the past few months.
It started with a persistent odor in the building, likely due to some residents using strong substances. The smell became strong enough to enter my unit at night, and despite multiple complaints, no permanent solution was found.
Then the plumbing issues began. About a week ...
ago, dirty water started filling the dishwasher on its own. I warned the management, and although they said it was resolved, the next day all the sinks backed up and dirty water flooded the kitchen. To their credit, maintenance came quickly (within an hour) even on the weekend and fixed it.
Unfortunately, the same issue happened again today. The dishwasher is once again filling with dirty water, and now it is flooding the kitchen again. I reported it, and although I understand we are currently outside of regular business hours, this is a recurring and urgent issue that requires long-term attention.
No one wants to constantly deal with plumbing problems in their home. It’s extremely frustrating, drains your energy, and takes a serious toll on day-to-day comfort and peace of mind.

While we’re glad our maintenance team was able to respond quickly, we recognize that a long-term solution is needed. Please know that we’re actively working to identify and resolve the root cause to prevent future problems.
