December 6, 2024We have lived at Park Lafayette for about six months, and while there are some positives, our overall experience has been extremely disappointing due to management and process issues. The Pros: The view is amazing. The location is convenient and central to everything we need. Fellow tenants and staff are friendly and welcoming. The Cons: Unfortunately, the day-to-day living experience has been marred by a lack of organization and responsiveness. Major Issues: The handling of a bed bug ...infestation has been nothing short of a nightmare. From the moment we suspected the issue, the apartment complex’s response has been slow, negligent, and dismissive. After reporting the issue, it took days for anyone from the complex to respond, and only after we followed up multiple times. We arranged for a reputable pest control company to address the problem promptly, but the complex required us to use their vendor, who couldn’t treat the issue for 12 days from the time we reported it. When the vendor finally came, they did a poor job—leaving belongings unsealed and failing to remove eggs from our bedframe. Unsurprisingly, the bugs were not eradicated, and the issue persists. Despite further complaints, the complex has been unresponsive, leaving us to live with the problem and no resolution in sight. Minor Inconveniences: The trash chute frequently gets stuck. Elevators are often down or reserved, causing long wait times. We’ve experienced power outages and fire alarms going off in the middle of the night. The mail system is unreliable—sometimes we’re notified about packages, and other times we’re not. On multiple occasions, packages have been misplaced due to reception errors. It took two weeks for maintenance to address a faulty dryer. The internet was down for over two weeks (Internet is through the complex), which was a huge disruption as we work from home. This complex has great potential to be an amazing place to live. Unfortunately, my experience so far has been far from positiveProperty Manager Responded

Has gone downhill
May 28, 2023We moved in in 2020 and it was great. In the last couple years it went downhill quickly. Living through the renovation was a nightmare. The concierge is often not present for package pickup. Maintenance requests went unanswered for weeks and management were apathetic to complaints/concerns. Dog Friendly!
August 15, 2022I moved into Park Lafayette because I adopted a dog and was not allowed to have dogs at my other place which is a few blocks away. It’s been great and extremely dog friendly. Apartments are concrete so you can’t even tell this building has other dogs in it by how quite things are. I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for an upscale, dog-friendly, modern apartment.Property Manager Responded

Soon To Be A Park Lafayette Resident!
July 1, 2022I’m not a resident yet but soon to be. I just signed a lease a few weeks ago for an apartment on the 17th floor. Upon touring the property my experience was welcoming. When I arrived, The Property Manager, Intessar came out and introduced herself and talked about all the new and exciting renovations they are doing with the property. After speaking with her and gaining insight on the overall property, Kent - leasing consultant, showed me my unit and was knowledgeable about all the amenities, ...neighborhood and why this would be a good fit for me and my lifestyle. Just Moved In!
June 20, 2022I recently moved into these apartments three months ago. I moved into the North Tower and my experience has been incredible since day one. 7+ Year Resident. Great experience
January 28, 2022We moved to Milwaukee in 2014, not knowing anything about the city. We had 5 priorities for a place to live: Pet friendly; a view of the lake; covered parking; hardwood floors; and a quality neighborhood. We came to The city for two days and looked everywhere to familiarize ourselves. After looking at another Mandel property, the manager told us point blank “Just go to Park Lafayette Towers. That’s what you want.” She was absolutely right. We first lived in the North Tower on the 20th floor in ...a one bedroom/den unit and loved everything about our apartment. But, after 3 years, we needed more space. We moved to a stunning two bedroom corner unit in the south tower and loved every minute there. Our apartment was first rate. Backing up the excellent facility is a professional, long-term staff, many who have been there during our entire stay. The General Manager, Katrina Lipman, was there our first visit and there when we left. She keeps the place running in all cylinders. The maintenance staff was excellent and we never suffered from any equipment inconvenience. And super dog friendly. My first dog there was … not so friendly ….. but I got another dog that wanted to be The Park Lafayette Mascot. Ultimately, getting him a yard and a place to play in the winter was our driving decision to leave our nest after 7 years. Park Lafayette Towers … we really loved our time there. You were the best part of our initial Milwaukee impression and remain a highlight for us. For anyone considering a new apartment in Milwaukee, this is the one. December 27, 2020And have appreciated every minute. The staff is outstanding, responsive and friendly, the building is lovely, security is excellent and the location is ideal -- working distance to everything I need and very close to public transportation, including direct access to the airport just two short blocks away. I especially appreciate how responsibly management has handled the coronavirus situation. Looking forward to the resumption of the social events the staff plan.
