    The street lamps are such a small thing, but it makes a huge difference in the quality of life. Forget having to juggle a flashlight while you walk the dog at night, and the street is always clearly lit after dark. I’ve spent many pleasant evenings talking outside with friends, watching the sunset, without feeling pressured by nightfall to sequester myself inside. I feel safe here, and that’s a big deal.
