Good Place to Live
February 7, 2021When I first moved in in December of 2019 everything was great. TLC managed this property and everything went very smoothlywhen moving in. They were very helpful with problems I had with the lease due to a roommate leaving before the lease was up and putting my new roommate on there without any fees or issues. TLC had an on site management 3 days a week to help with any issues that could possibly come up. Then in December of 2020 the property owners decided to switch from TLC to Collins Property ...Management Company. From asking around and what I understood from their website Parkwood Apartments would be the first apartment complex they managed. The first problem I had with Collins Property Management was when the first snow and ice storm came through the steps leading to the sidewalk had not been salted properly. I went to go to my car for work and almost slipped on the stairs. I wasnt hurt or anything by I ended up kicking as much ice as I could off since there are a lot of elderly people and young families that live here and I didn't want anyone else to slip and possibly get hurt. My second experience with them was when I put a maintenance order in. I put it in through their app and I thought everything was good to go. I later found out that my ex-roommate, who was no longer on the lease and hadnt been for a little while at this point was getting all the correspondence for it. This made me uncomfortable that someone whom I didn't talk to and who no longer lived here was getting information about my apartment. Thankfully this issue was resolved when I called their office, which is in South Springfield while the property is in North Springfield, but this shouldn't have been an issue in the first place. I called instead of going into the office because they do not have any on site management. The last thing that has really gotten under my skin is the internet issue. I take online classes and reliable internet is important for that. My internet recently went down and I have done every possible thing to reset it. Everything seems to be working and my router is showing all the lights colors its suppose to when there is a good internet connection established. It almost seems like the internet bill was not paid but I have no way of fining out until the management office opens. Overall this is a good place to live. It's very family friendly and pricing is great for college students. I just wish the property owners kept TLC as their property management company.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com

September 2, 2017These apartments exceeded my every expectation. So clean and spacious. The management is so sweet! There's tons of storage and closet space too. This is the perfect apartment location and price for the North side of town. It's so quiet and calm and close to everything.Review from Apartments.com
