I have been living here over the past 5 years and I love the management team as well as the upkeep of property. The negative nancies in the comment section are ungrateful for all that Playa Pacifica has to offer There are tennis courts, dog parks, a community garden, clean laundry facilities, security crew, dry sauna, pool/jacuzzi, and an entertainment room!!! ALSO not only is this building less than 2 miles from the beach it is also rent controlled (hidden gem for this area honestly). Even ...
though it is an older building and plumbing can be an issue every now and then, the maintenance team fixes the problem within the same day I wish I could this property over 5 stars tbh. If you are Opacarophile (sunset lover) get a west facing studio apartment like me ;-D

Have lived here 8 months now and will not be renewing my lease. The gym equipment has been broken for 4+ months. Management continues to ignore the issue, even after many residents have asked that this equipment be fixed. It is very frustrating. Your concerns won’t be addressed, so you better hope nothing breaks or is out of service if you live here. As someone else mentioned, the way water and trash is allocated monthly on the bill is ridiculous. Be ready to see insanely high ...
charges…especially for those living in studios. It’s a complete ripoff for the studio apartments and makes zero sense. You end up paying for water/trash other people are using. For what rent costs now, I would look elsewhere. You can find better apartments, amenities (that are actually useable), management, etc at other apartments complexes in this area. There are plenty near here. I’ve lived in many different apartment complexes and this is by far the worst experience I’ve had.

Living in Playa Pacifica

Look, the Location is one of the best ones in the city of L.A. Minutes to the Beach, LAX Airport, and Freeways. Safest areas too. However, this complex lacks many things. The have done an ok. job updating/upgrading some of their units, but not all of them. Playa Pacifica is considered a community building, and yet they don't provide you with a refrigerator and also they don't come with A/C (they try to convince you Marina is a breezy area) yet summer time not even 5 fans couldn't do the job to ...
keep us cool. If living in 1st floor (not sure about other floors) you see worms and insects on a regular basis. If you like your washer and dryer in unit, this place is not for you. Pool area is good. Jacuzzi is ok (there are close by apartments easy for people to stare you while you bathe, could be a little uncomfortable for some). Game room is dated. Gym is spacious and also rated good with the amount of machines. Computer room is useless-hardly anybody goes up there. Apartment halls carpets are old and dated. Online payment, Online bills, and Maintenance are GREAT (hence the 2 stars) For some reason, I've seem some of the same people around by the game room and entrance of the area that look like bums (same guy with same clothing) game room seems it's their house -and community bathrooms they get a "puking rate". Nasty. Leasing office crew are fair to good. Thumbs down on not letting people know about their package are delivered. You have a website with online payment & maintenance request, might as well add that feature in letting people know they got a package (hint, hint) Overall 2 stars, they need to upgrade it and need to look around their competition.
