  • Bad experience

    We toured here twice. The first leasing agent was nice but barely looked up from her phone during the entire tour. She did, however, warn me about one unit having noise complaints from the neighbors, which I appreciated. Zeke, who I was dismayed to see is somehow the assistant manager, had zero interest in his job and even less in the units themselves. The property is nice enough, but there’s no parking for two cars, and the apartments are small. A second car has to park outside, and space is ...
    limited. Despite this, we were swayed by a discounted price and decided to apply. However, the unit we wanted was taken, so we applied for a similar one. That’s when we discovered they had raised the prices a day later. They were unwilling to honor the original price, which we felt was dishonest.

    I have been here for 3 years, and I am extending for 18 more months. I like the area that I am in because I am close to my son. The property is very quiet and the office staff is very nice. I love the Friday grab and go breakfast. When I have a service request, maintenance fixes it very quickly.

  • Not the best place

    I lived here for about 2 and a half years and I wish I would've cut it a little shorter. It has a lot of potential but a couple things were really putting it behind. For starters, the grills were broken half of the time I tried using them. Charging as much as money as they do for a 2 bed 2 bath, you'd think they would keep up with that a little better. Another thing I found very strange was my roommate dinged up our door bringing a couch in the second year we lived there so maintenance put on a ...
    new door, but it was installed backwards so the peephole was in the hallway. We hadn't realized it for almost a month as we never really used it and despite my roommate putting in complaints multiple times, they never fixed it and still charged us for the replacement. The last complaint I have is that I had to end my lease early as I had to move out of state for my job and the lady in the lease office told me they wouldn't normally allowed that, which is weird because I've asked friends that work in the same business if that's a normal thing to allow and they all said yes. Regardless, she had me sign a sheet saying I was ending my lease early and that if no one rented it I would still be responsible for payments. I was a little apprehensive at first, but she promised that since it is a first floor apartment on the back of the building right by the south entrance, it would be leased quickly and they had a long list of people that request it. It is now 2 months later and I have a voicemail saying no one has rented it yet and I owe them almost $4000 for one month of normal rent and one prorated. That seems a little odd considering what I was told. So if you don't mind that, the constant noise of construction and dirt getting all over your car (if you can even find parking in front of the building because there's not even enough spots for people that live there right now) then this is definitely the place for you.

  • Awesome apartment with great staff and great location

    We have an end unit with windows on 2 sides. Looking out at the nature preserve is so peaceful. Seeing deer is cool. Construction noise was noticeable at first but got used to it. Barely notice it now. The staff is awesome! Very accommodating and helpful. Our plan was to stay for a year after we sold our home. Now on year 3! We will only move out if we buy a house.

  • Good apartment with some drawbacks

    Pros: The apartment staff is truly exceptional. They really are first class. Willing to accommodate nearly any request in a timely manner. Clean and well maintained building. Heated underground parking is nice in the winter and I don’t have to worry about slipping and falling by parking on the street. Cons: Construction is starting now to develop the adjacent property and will be really annoying over the next year with constant noise all day (7am to 7pm) and some Saturdays! Not enjoyable if ...
    you’re planning to work from home or have little kids trying to nap. Also, would stay through another lease cycle, but rent will likely go up and the place is already pretty expensive. A lot of other good rentals in the area that are more price competitive with similar amenities. Bottom line: The amazing staff is what differentiates this place from other rentals I’ve lived in before. The construction hassle and price will likely force me to look elsewhere.

    Poplar Creek Apartments in Brookfield, WI are well designed with great attention to detail. Added extras like beautiful views through large windows and patio doors, great storage space, a heated garage, salt water heated pool, coffee bar and work out space make it a perfect living space.   • Love this place!

    Great location, the room layouts are really nice (large laundry area is a plus) and the staff has been so helpful. (!)They pay attention to fine details -like the hallways always look clean (visited some not so nice places before this) and the grounds are well maintained. Really nice pool and gathering space. It's also convenient to have the walking path for the dog with the waste bags provided!-there is vacuum in the parking structure for your cars-and there is plenty of parking. They think of ...

  • Great apartment!

    Our first choice after retiring was to buy a house but the real estate market was crazy in 2021 so we decided to rent. Best decision! We might become long term renters. We love our apartment and the staff here are wonderful. One of the best places to live in Brookfield!

    Moved here when we couldn’t find a house. But now we might stay for quite a while. Very nice apartments and the staff are friendly and always responsive and helpful. Brookfield area is a beautiful place to live with many attractions. Carefree apartment living makes a great retirement life for us.
