They dont give back your deposit!
December 7, 2018Had a good experience until we moved out! They kept our deposit though we left the apartment in a very good condition without any damage to the property.They charged us for changing carpets for living room and bedroom,painting the whole apartment and cleaning though during the apartment inspection they said we are leaving the apartment in a good condition and they check if there are no holes in the walls,scribbling on the walls or any serious damages! There was no need of painting as the walls ...were as good as new!We lived just for 1.5 yrs and kept it in a pretty good condition! The apartment itself is too old and the cabinets and bathroom cabinets are just too old that its hard to clean it! Its not worth the rent you pay! The bathroom tub is too old and creaks a lot and cleaning it is another task as it is too old! The 1 star is just for the maintainance staff! They do a good job at maintaining the premises! Good place to stay
August 30, 2015We've been living at Prairie Gardens for over two years and I can say it has been a great place to stay while we saved up for a better place. The manager Melissa tries very hard to maintain an old building. The building overall is quiet even though it's next to a main street and as far as tenants, we have quiet neighbors so its been great. Overall, it's a great place to rent but the rent has been creeping up recently and the amenities not justifying it. You can probably find something cheaper ...but being close to major freeways and Torrance schools is a major plus. Being close to the major malls such as the Galleria and Del Amo mall, the beach and all the stuff pretty much the south bay has to offer is all close by. I have seen some places that offer three bedroom that are bigger and in better locations so I really don't see their justification in raising the rent in the last two years as justifiable so I'll leave that decision up to future tenants. We started renting here and the rent was 1595$...and in the last two years it has jumped up to now $1895.
