After 6 years living in this Complex, with 2 Different Property owners. Here is my Honest Review
August 17, 2025We have lived in different apartments since 2010; we can with confidence tell you it all comes down to the Management and by far Heather the Community Manager and her Maintenance team are a unicorn. Before the new owners renamed it Preserve at Copperleaf, it was Cortland at Copperleaf (different owners). She was the Manager when it was still Cortland and was Brilliant. When the new owners took over, at first things seemed gloomy - Poor management and the like (the list is too broad to be listed ...here) We, the tenants had Zero confidence and the new owners knew it. (After several complaints) A few months later Heather was brought back as our “New” Manager again. Like I mentioned before she is a Unicorn. Ever since she was brought back things became wonderful. Maintenance team has always been quick and prompt to respond to our requests within 24hrs or less. The front office staff is always friendly, professional, and attentive to our needs. They have always made sure the place is clean with cut grass and power washed areas etc. We have never felt safer and more at home.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
New Management is Terrible
July 26, 2024We have lived here for 3 years. Cortland was absolutely amazing... These new owners, Preserve, are terrible. We have not had a working dishwasher since 6/30. The break caused us to have some flooding, and now our apartment stinks. We are concerned of mold, which is a safety concern. Just washing dishes in the sink can leak water into the carpet. My husband has gone to the office multiple times (cause you can't reach anyone by phone), even showed pictures. No follow up calls and they closed all ...our tickets in the portal. We were told by the temp maintenance worker (they only have 1 full timer for the complex), that no one had put in an order for our dishwasher to be replaced or anything. When I confronted the office, they sent them back over to "identify" the issue and have not heard a word since then. We can't wait for our lease to be up so we can leave now. Terrible Management
June 22, 2024The pool has been locked up and completely green for over a month. IN ADDITION. The management either don’t know anything about anything or tell you whatever to get you out of the office as fast as possible. When you set time aside to stop at the office to ask questions about rent, late fees, maintenance, trash, etc. you will find out on your own that it is untrue or misleading. Beautiful Community - Even Better Staff
March 20, 2024I've been at Cortland Copperleaf for almost a year now, and I have to say, it has been one of the best apartment living experiences I've had. The maintenance team is attentive and responsive. When my AC was out, I called the emergency maintenance line (it 9PM) and the maintenance team called back and arrived to look at the issue, all within an hour. All my maintenance requests have been resolved same day, with no issues. On top of that, the office staff has been nothing but helpful, friendly, ...and accommodating. In my opinion, Management/Office Staff and the Maintenance team can make or break the living experience at an apartment and the team here is TOP NOTCH!Property Manager Responded

March 20, 2024I moved here around 3 or 4 weeks ago. So far, my experience as a tenant has been very nice. The employees here go above and beyond to help you. The amenities are very clean and modern.
