Check your vents for mold
January 5, 2025Multiple units have mold in their vents. Maintenance does as little as possible to “fix” apartments up and put them back up for rent. The new lead maintenance guy is not qualified for the job and doesn’t treat his coworkers very well.Property Manager Responded

November 15, 2018Preserve at Ballantyne was my #1 choice in an apartment community when I moved to Charlotte four years ago. The floor plan is perfect for my needs, the leasing/office staff makes everyone feel welcome, and the maintenance crew is always response to my maintenance requests with the correct solution the first time. The grounds are nicely landscaped and well maintained and the amenities are perfect for my needs and interests. Preserve is so suited to me that I've renewed my lease each year ...without even considering looking anywhere else. May be the worst manager of all times.
August 24, 2018I have been a long term resident and have seen many managers come and go, some ok and some good until the current manager who talks in generalities and does little to no follow up.. These apartments are over 20 years old and show the wear. Overall ground maintenance is at best periodic, but the office always is well kept so don't be fooled. Parking is at a premium with not enough spaces, so good luck finding a space after 9 pm. Any thing the rental offices make sure you get in writing or ...it may never be fulfilled. The current manager is quick to be a glad hand but does what she wants if she wants when she wants... Has little to no respect for the tenants. Only seen in the area when she wants something. The maintenance staff (2) are overworked and there are many delays and excuses for repairs. Unless there are major changes I plan to move when ready. December 22, 2017I would highly recommend this community. This is a smaller community so it really gives you that community feel. The property is beautiful, the staff and the landscaping team do an excellent job. You feel like you are living at a resort and if you like the outdoors then this is the place for you. All the trees have matured and the property is flourishing with colorful flowers. The amenities are the best around and they even have a wellness coordinator that teaches classes hands on. No high tech ...video work outs but someone who stands there and encourages you to reach your goals. The location is perfect with endless shopping and dining walking distance. Close to up town and the airport. The school district is the best in the area. The ladies in the leasing office are so inviting and humble. Delete My family and I relocated to Charlotte, NC from Goose Creek, SC in the first week of August. We moved here for my job. In looking for places to stay, everyone recommended South Charlotte and the Ballantyne area. I used apartments.com to locate good places and found very nice options. This site was very helpful because I found a place without making a trip to the area. We narrowed places down solely ...by the aparments.com site. After checking floor plans, prices, schools, and amenities we chose The Preserve at Ballantyne Commons. Kristen in the leasing office was extremely helpful throughout the process. She is very friendly and made the application process easy as I did it all online and by phone because I was out of town. The amenities are very nice. My sons will enjoy the indoor basketball court. The pool and grill area is awesome. The fitness center is smaller than I thought but has good equipment. The apartment itself has a nice layout. I love the kitchen's new appliances and granite countertops. I'm very glad my sons will attend Hawk Ridge Elementary. The reviews for the school look amazing. The school has won multiple awards.
