I lived here for 8 years in the North building. When my husband and I moved in, management was superb, the grounds were well kept, maintenance was responsive, the laundry rooms were clean...Unfortunately, one by one, all these things went away and it got much worse very quickly the last 2-3 years we were there.
Repairs we requested for our apartment were not complete - our upstairs neighbors must drip dry everything because moisture from their floor soaked into our ceiling. Maintenance's
...solution was to cut out the bad sheet rock and cover it up with some plywood and spackle. Someone was supposed to come back and paint, but never did. Needless to say, just a few weeks later, the spackle was again wet and we started getting mold.
Oh, also, the neighbors love to flush paper towels, feminine products and cell phones which caused our bathroom to erupt several times. Good luck to whoever gets that bathroom next.
The walls are thin and you can hear everything. The plumbing is antiquated and if you run your water, at least 3 of your neighbors will too. You'll either end up with frost bite or nuclear burns.
The dumpsters are overflowing most days and garbage is blown all over the parking lot and your yard.
Gangs have moved in as doors in certain buildings have been graffiti'd. There was a fire in the complex across the street this past spring. The whole building burned to the ground. Also, there was a car fire in the parking lot last winter at the convenience store across the street too. Awesome.
There is a questionable taxi service that hangs around and I doubt they're only providing driving services as they wait in the parking lot all night.
The lighting is poor and going out at night to put out your trash, or walk your dog doesn't feel nearly as safe as it should anymore.
The laundry rooms are hot mess, always dirty and at least 1 machine broken all the time.
It's a shame this community went downhill the way it did. For as expensive as this place is, you'd think they'd invest at least a little back into it to keep it decent. I wouldn't recommend a rat live here.
