Poor conditions upon move-in

Overall, it's an upgrade from where I was before, and at a good price point for the amount of space and amenities available. However, the unit was in very poor condition when I moved in, almost like no inspection was done beforehand whatsoever. It was quite dirty and a lot of things were either broken or in bad repair. I have been here for less than a week so far, so we'll see how the property deals with my situation, but first impressions are not great.

have spoken to so far has been friendly and helpful, which bodes well. However, in order to avoid this headache for both parties, it would be productive to actually address these issues before a new tenant moves in.
