Constant outages, horrid communication, unsafe

4 years - 3 major HVAC repairs, other delays in transition from hot to cold due to repairs. Dozens of water outages, usually with no warning, averaging one line a week. Rampant package theft due inaccessibility of package area to delivery personal and lack of secure building despite fob entrance as well as management discouragement of filing police reports. Failure to communicate with tenets in an effective manor, often with threats to lose access. Lies during leasing process. I kept telling ...
myself things have to get better, they are making improvements after an owner change shortly before I moved in. Unfortunately those improvements have been exclusively cosmetic and now there is no AC on day reaching over 100 and the emergency line service was told they won’t be providing portable AC to vulnerable tenets and prohibited them from calling onsite maintenance for an update.

Renew Mt. Vernon is by far one of the worst places I have ever lived. Management does not listen to residents’ concerns and instead gaslights you when issues are brought up. The rent is extremely overpriced, especially considering all the hidden fees added on top of it.
Since moving into my apartment, the shower has never properly balanced the water temperature. I submitted multiple maintenance tickets only to be told that “it’s been like that in this unit,” which basically meant I was expected ...
to just deal with it.
What really pushed me over the edge was the rodent infestation in the building. No one should be paying luxury apartment prices while dealing with rodents in their home.
On top of that, if you pay monthly for a reserved parking space, be prepared for other people to park in it anyway. Then, instead of resolving the issue, management sends harassing emails threatening to tow your vehicle even though the parking situation is not your fault.
Package handling is another nightmare. Packages constantly get stolen or are placed into parcel lockers that residents cannot even access, and management does absolutely nothing to resolve the issue or help tenants recover their deliveries.

I've been living in this apartment for a while now, and overall, my experience has been positive. The location is fantastic, with easy access to everything I need. The amenities provided are impressive and truly enhance my living experience.
While there haven't been any major issues, I do wish the gym had more equipment to offer a broader range of workout options. Despite that, I really enjoy living here and appreciate the comfort and convenience it provides.
