Take your hard earned money elsewhere
December 24, 2022Have to go to extreme lengths to get the staff to enforce rules already in place in the lease agreements. Staff puts minimal effort into everything they do. Loud neighbors largely go unchecked, minimal effort goes into keep the grounds clean, fighting back bugs from dirty neighbors is a constant task. The people hired to do upgrades around the complex seem amateur at best. Horrible workmanship. Don't do it if you have options.Review from Apartments.com
LOUD, and UNSAFE
August 19, 2022I am so unhappy here, the residents are the worst part. They blast music so loud and obnoxiously, many residents have complained to the leasing office to step in and do something yet they do nothing, I've contacted the city of Dekalb non emergency line, and they suggest I call the police and have an officer investigate, I was instructed by another personel in law to file a police report. So getting the police involved is the only way to live in peace? When the leasing office can simply enforce ...rules that are in place by this city. Not only that, there are shootings, neighbors are very nosey and watch you, and even come outside when they see you leaving your house. Their intentions are not good. Then on top of that roaches, I have had to do a lot to get rid of them. The apartments are poorly insulated, overpriced, and the management are not truthful. This has been the absolute worst experience of my life...I have to wear bulky noise cancelling headphones to tune out the noise, and only go outside during certain hours to avoid being stalked.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Go somewhere else please don't rent here
July 8, 2019If you want a second chance this is the place for you, however be aware of the impending pitfall you are getting yourself in, with a second chance there is second hand crap you have to deal with hey shelter is shelter right. This would not be my first choice if I had to do it all over again. Front Office is Rude
May 5, 2018Those ladies in the front office are so rude. Off course they are only doing their work but they always look like they are annoyed with you before you even say why you are in their office. I made so many maintenance notices and I feel they ignored to tell the maintenance guys. The maintenance guys are cool though. Very wonderful and know their job but the ladies in the front office, need to learn a little about customer care. The apartments are infested with roaches. You have tenants who leave ...trash outside their apartment for days. Please think twice before you move here, if you already did, good luck for they stifle you out of your money once you give them a notice to move out. These pictures are a lie
March 6, 2018Moved here in August, breaking our lease early!!!! Roaches and spiders every where, we did not have heat for the winter months, it took the maintenance 3 months to come fix the heat, our cabinets looks like termites live here, the apartment looks nothing like the renovated picture! The leasing office is very lazy they expect their rent on time but don't fix anything or give real explanations over the phone.Review from Apartments.com
Don't move here
December 26, 2017This is the worst apartment complex you could move into. The management is lazy .the maintenance doesn't fix anything. The rent is obsessive considering half of the incentives are not even working in the apartment or are completely a lie. we Have had to deal with roaches since I've moved in yet they never send anyone to spray or even try to compensate for all of the roach spray I had to buy. If not for me signing the lease already I would not be here. Save yourself the trouble and move into an ...apartment complex that will actually give you Heating and a working AC. Do not waste your time!
May 9, 2017I am leaving Regal Vista with a really bad taste in my mouth. I moved into Regal Vista when it was "Retreat Apartments" and the same day I was going in to sign the lease, a gentlemen greeted me at the entrance of the office and stated "I just bought the place, I am the owner" and so on and so forth (as if I asked) . He was so rude and obnoxious. So they made me sign "Regal Vista" paperwork since it was not the "Retreat Apartments" anymore. Nearing the end of my lease, I called in to inquire ...about my deposit and they said they did not have any deposits made in my file. I told them how convenient that was for them. They asked me to reach out to the Retreat Apartments (I assumed I had to call the corporate office since Regal Vista staff are completely clueless when it comes to anything) and try to obtain my deposit. The Retreat Apts. is with Ventron, and an associate at Ventron stated they turned everything over to the Regal Vista in an escrow account, which they do not have access but Regal Vista does. It is sketchier the fact that Regal Vista had my other non-refundable fees on file EXCEPT the one that was refundable. Again, VERY convenient. ALSO, I just happened to be placed right above a 4/20 friendly tenants. I have complained to the office on two occasions and they said they would distribute a pretty little letter to minimize illegal activities within the community-they never did this. So I was coming to an apartment smelling like an illegal substance every day! The weekends were worse, had to spray every hour of the day as the smell seeped through the bathroom. I lost my “refundable” deposit since it was “never on file” which was a complete lie. It was a very unpleasant experience at Regal Vista. They need to hire actual professionals to run these type of establishments. Yet again, they’re they are just dishonest people looking to take your money. July 20, 2015This place is great and an affordable place to live. They are always running move in specials and they try to work with you even if your credit is not the best.
