Place is infested with termites. None of which was disclosed to me - they acted surprised about the issue. Did you know they "swarm" into spaces during the summer looking for places to lay eggs? The neighbors had confirmed they have been dealing with them for a very long time upon speaking to them. The office sends a terminator but all this person does is poke a hole where any mounds are, sprays a pesticide you can buy online, and caulks the hole closed. dealt with this year round and resorted to self treating the unit) He actually asked if i could "leave any future droppings out until he can arrive to identify the infestations." (Unbelievable.) This stuff was appearing on where i slept! Some units according to other neighbors who reside inside the complex have to deal with rats and cockroaches that they cannot get rid of no matter how much they clean. Whoever paints the units literally paints over everything including whatever hair was on the walls or dust, doorknobs, literally paints inside the electrical outlets. Popcorn ceiling falling apart. I didn't even dare to check for asbestos. This complex is super old (60s) and run down. The windows are paper thin - like the sugarcane glass you see in Hollywood movies. So you can hear absolutely everything outside and vice versa. Front door wasn't even sealed properly. Water is being constantly shut off for pipes to be repaired around the complex. Washing machine rooms are gross - i have found what i can only describe as sewer water and bugs inside of a majority of them around the neighborhood. You have to hound the office in person to get anything taken care of and they rarely get back to you on the phone. The pool - wouldn't dare hopping in there and all the chairs there are destroyed. The AC vents were in very poor condition. Bugs were constantly getting into my fridge even though i set out traps and cleaned a lot. Had to make sure anything in my fridge/freezer was sealed.
Right before i left i actually saw they were removing the trash valet services so you are responsible for your own trash now getting to the dumpster. Regency oaks is pure nightmare fuel. I was pretty stressed out living here. Now some pros, (i guess?): If you're in a pinch this place will pretty much take anyone. The rent is a bit below average but tbh should be way cheaper for these horrible conditions. Had a cheap desposit. Overall: don't move into this place!
