Disgusting
January 21, 2021Dog mess everywhere in spite of having a full-time porter to pick it up. She can’t keep up with it. It used to be a quiet place. Now there is constant music thumping from the parking lots day and night. The place is old and falling apart. Maintenance does their best, but it is a futile endeavor. A Happy Illusion
January 30, 2019The property looks great and is located in a great neighborhood with malls, restaurants, shops, parks, and a library all in walking distance. I enjoyed living here due to its accessibility to the bus line and shopping centers. Although the area looked great I quickly realized that looks can be very deceiving. I lived in this complex for 2 years and had pest problems from day one (literally my first night in the apartment I reported ants in my kitchen to the property). At a point the issue got so ...bad that I could not use my kitchen for 5 weeks for fear of aggravating the problem. I literally had ants crawling up the kitchen walls. At one point the only way pest control could deter the issue was by spreading bug poison throughout my kitchen. I could not do anything but store food in the fridge. The managers who I emailed regarding this issue were slow to react and unsympathetic to this reoccurring pest issue. I called the management company and left several messages about the issue and never received one follow up call. Not 1 penny of my rent was reimbursed to me for this pre-existing problem even after being unable to use my kitchen for 5 weeks. Although the property looks good externally it is old and not well cared for. I've had neighbors tell me they had the same pest issues. I mention all this to express how the management treats and reacts to its residents. I moved out and am in an amazing new apartment for $100 more than the price of this apartment. The extra money doesn't bother me as the peace of mind is priceless! If you're apartment hunting and desperate for a place and choose this one I wouldn't recommend signing a long term lease as there are better maintained apartments in the area for the same price or cheaper. Safety is an issue
November 21, 2017There is an epidemic of robberies going on here. 19 from September 1st to mid October. I myself was robbed. Management won't inform residents. I know that if I was informed that there had been 18 robberies in the past month or so, I would have got a security system and extra locks. These things almost certainly would have prevented me from being burglarized. I'm sure that if other victims were informed, they too would have taken steps to prevent the burglaries from occurring. Residents have ...been begging management to install security cameras so that we could end all of these burglaries. Management continues to claim that they are "looking in to it". It has been almost two months, and we still have zero security cameras in our complex. They won't even get one or two to put at the gates. Residents are all furious about the way Griffis has dealt with the epidemic of crime we're currently having. Update: I have asked management a bunch of questions regarding everything I've talked about in this review. It has been over a month, and I am still waiting for a response, despite multiple reminders. It certainly feels like they are avoiding me. Recently there was a police chase that happened right inside our complex (and in front of me as I was relaxing by the pool Monday morning). The person being chased was dangerous and had a knife. Helicopters and police dogs were involved. And all of this has happened while the Mandalay Bay massacre is fresh in everyone's minds. This is a sensitive period of time as far as safety goes, and I feel uncomfortable with the way Griffis's management handles safety.Property Manager Responded
November 27, 2017Thank you for your feedback. I have good news! After the last community meeting Griffis Summerlin South hosted with the Las Vegas PD in October we've had no new incidences! This event was great in promoting community awareness and answering all questions attending residents had for management and the local PD. We have also increased the community courtesy patrol rounds each night and installed cameras. All of these efforts have paid off and we will continue to work with residents and the local authorities to make sure this trend continues! If you have any questions or concerns please reach out to your management team. They are always there to help, and as always if you notice any suspicious behavior please contact the local authorities and courtesy patrol.

September 22, 2015Use to live just on black away. Did not realize i was missing out on a good experience just done the street. Quick maintenance response and easy online access to pay rent has made all the difference. Before i was charged a fee for paying online at my old place.Grounds kept clean. THE Place to live in Summerlin!
September 12, 2015I love our community. It is quiet, well kept and in a great location! Conveniently located near several shopping centers, and many restaurants. We are only a 30 min drive from the strip. The grounds are very well kept. The staff are all very friendly. And are very quick to get things done. They also allow dogs and cats with breed restrictions on the dogs. There are potty stations throughout the community making for a nice place to walk the dogs. There is also a very nice and well kept pool ...area with plenty of seating. There are community grills that are always clean. A small gym with enough equipment for a daily workout. The equipment room is always clean. A sauna inside a hot tub outside and an area with computers and printers for us to use. They also have Starbucks coffee! Plenty of parking for tenants and guests. Apartment floor plans are the best that I've found. Very spacious wood floors. Really nice carpeting in the bedrooms. In unit washer and dryer. All appliances are very nice although the Washer and Dryer could be updated. However they work really well. The Nest helps control the AC and helps with electric bills! They Just Don't Care For You
July 21, 2015The one and only good thing about this property is the location. It's convenient to shopping, dining, movies, and groceries. However, the policy towards tenants in this property is full of disappointment. Work orders, if they get completed, take weeks. The common areas are filthy. The security measures are not enforced (the staff leaves gates open every single day). Oh, and if you're a good tenant who pays on time they want to increase your rate by 12% when they have 27 vacant apartments listed ...on their website. It's insulting and laughable. Everyone on my floor is vacating and so are other folks taht we have met during our time here. The office coordinator (not going to put her name on the internet) is a bright spot.
