I have visited 2 friends there too many times to count over the last 8 years. School districts are Frances Nungester, Brookhaven, and Decatur High. Pet Friendly and clean of dog poop. Affordable. Manager is pleasant. Washer dryer hook up. Dishwasher (old and outdated).
These used to be awesome apartments and neither my friends nor their family had any complaints. This is the 3rd Christmas season I have spent there. These switched ownership and its downhill
Pros: The apartments themselves
...are very nice. The walls are painted a very pleasant sand color. Spacious. Close to Walmart, Kroger, and highway 31. Very little crime and the manager does the best she is allowed to do apparently. Most neighbors are friendly & it's a diverse neighborhood .We love grilling outback with the neighbors.
Cons: Since new ownership, trash everywhere: in yards, around the parking lot, and nasty by dumpsters. Its out of control. I left on the 27th and back here tonight on my way out of town, and it smells and the same trash is still there at both dumpsters. Cigarette butts everywhere.
During the summer, I often heard complaints on how the grass wasn't mowed regularly, and the bushes are more like trees than bushes and need a new updated look. warm nights, kids play outside way past dark unattended and working people cannot sleep. They play in front of other peoples apartments other than their own screaming and making it impossible for people who work 3rd shift to sleep.
BEWARE: I park at Kroger & have one of my friends drive me to their apartment when I come to visit. There is this insane woman who yells and harasses all guests who visit. Our pizza guy said he was never coming back because he parked away from anyone's door to deliver us pizza one evening and the woman came out screaming at him to move his car. Dude was there 5 minutes. He said this is the second time such occurrence happened with the woman that he wouldn't come back and was recommending to his manager that they don't service these apartments. Beware if you are dropping off someone or picking them up and park for even 1 minute because that bulldog will run out and attack. Woman is the most unfriendliest person we have ever met and she is the laughing stalk of the whole apartment complex.
Basically, if the clean up the trash, trim the trees/bushes, and get control over that bulldog of a woman, then I will rate these higher. I will be back in 2 weeks and we will see what happens.
