A JOKE OF A GATED COMMUNITY

I currently live here, and the only reason I am giving 2 stars is because I still feel somewhat safe walking my dog at night. Everything else has gone down hill in the past 4 years. I was away this weekend and upon coming home I find the pool is closed because it was vandalized and NO ONE can use it. People dont pick up after their dogs, and it takes maintenance 3 or 4 times to fix an issue. LOL my ceiling still leaks once a year when neighbors turn on their AC for the first time. They spackle it ...

and thats it. They wont let you move to a 2 bdrm from a 1bdrm or vice versa. Also they NEVER close the gates, most likely because they dont know how or dont want to spend the money to fix them, deafeats the purpose of a gated community. This place was great a long time ago, but I do not recommend you waste your money here!

management never answers the phone and the emergency maintenance number does not work. Flood in your apartment. They might get to you the next day.....when mold starts growing bc of the flood, they won't replace carpeting or paint. The pool has no lifeguard and is sporadically open for our use. the gym is dirty and disgusting and the tennis courts are in terrible condition. This place has gone downhill the past 2 years and I am moving out next month. they don't salt sidewalks in winter and ...

it can be very dangerous. bird live inside the buildings and nests are never removed. Gates no longer function so now non-tenants drive through the complex on the regular. Go somewhere else!

If you have a maintenance concern it will never be followed up on. When you call to enquire no one in the managers office will answer the phone. The manager and the maintenance are in a relationship and live together so there is no accountability. Don't be fooled by the word gated either because. The gates have been broken for months and months and are left wide open. Not a safe place for children and there is no lifeguard at the pool so anyone can walk in off the street through the open ...

Advertised as a gated community however gates are never locked and are always left opened for anyone to enter complex. Lately the drug traffic from residents dealing drugs from apt has been out of control. Owners say fixing gate is too expensive. Too expensive for your renters safety?! Was a nice place but not anymore. Stay away if you are looking for a safe clean place to live.

over all is a pretty ok place. located rite next to the projects but nothing bad has happens. it is surrounded by a key fob gate. i feel safe here. i can hear the people upstairs some times but thats at any apartment building you live in. the pool is nice and almost never crowded. the gym in basic but does the job and is also never crowded. it's like the pool and gym are yours, since no one ever uses them. any time i ever had an issue the maintenance team was always immediately helpful and ...

friendly, my only real complaint is the Allentown traffic witch has nothing to do with riverbend. you never have to shovel snow and there's always parking. I'm in my mid twenties and I think it's a pretty ok place to live

I currently am renting a one bedroom apartment, they offer many different styles and sizes. They advertise that it is a gated in community but they never lock the gate. The residents are very friendly and it is a great place if you have children. There is a free gym, pool, and tennis court which is a plus. Rent rates aren't too bad but my biggest complaint is unnecessary charges. They charged me $50 cash to walk across the street and unlock my door on Xmas night, I had a friend stay with me for 2 ...

months they wanted him to pay $35 to apply to be on the lease and then charged us an extra $30 a month for him staying there. Then when he left I asked them to drop the charge they said ok.... 3 months later they complained I wasn't paying the $30 and said they never had anything in writing that he wasn't there anymore(would have been nice if they told me that in the first place). If your rent is late they charge 10% of Ur rent as a late fee. My lease is about to end I asked to be put on a month to month lease they agreed to but they are raising my rent by $20 plus if you go on a month to month lease they add $100 onto Ur rent every month. They are pet friendly but charge a $300 non-refundable deposit for each pet and $30 a month for each pet. The Secretary is very rude, she even lost my rent check once and tried to say I never paid it because she didn't want to take the blame. Luckily I had a receipt! If the management was better ran and they weren't always trying to screw people for their money it would be an amazing place to live. Very beautiful and quiet.

Since we signed our lease the office staff was nothing but rude! Even calling to ask a question "Lauren" was nasty and ignorant! Mold was recently found in our apartment, as soon as we realized it we went to the office to have it taken care of. I saw Lauren in her office, on her phone! But was to busy to talk with me; I complained about the mold to the other office assistant and Lauren shouts from the back of the room "did you try to clean it?!" Excuse me, but my poor little baby is breathing in ...

mold Spurs and you have the nerve to ask me if I tried to clean it? Matter of fact, I did try. And I was fed up with Lauren's nasty attitude, I had asked for her last name and she replied "you don't need to know my last name". The staff here won't help you and the property manager Lauren is so mean! Riverbend is in a terrible area, if you care about your car you can't park anywhere safe here, worst place I have ever been! Would not recommend riverbend to anyone!!!!!

In all honesty this place has great apartments and amenities, but if you are looking for a great management company do not rent here. You can expect to deal with rude office staff and pay hefty and ridiculous fees. Don't even think about getting your deposit back unless your apartment looks the same as day one. understand instead you'll pay a fee. Also if you are someone who orders offline a lot and you work a day job. Don't expect to get your packages on time because they keep them in the office and the office closes at 5p or earlier if the office staff doesn't feel like waiting around. Good Place To Call Home

This is a good place to live. Its a gated community so all the riff raff is outside of the gates. I stayed here for four years. Every year the rent will go up and it started getting way too expensive so I had to move elsewhere. Maybe to other people the staff was polite but with me that was a negative. The maintenance staff was ok with work. I had a big issue with stink bugs in the summer coming from the central air vents. Maintenance wasn't very helpful with that.
