May 19, 2022The leasing staff are rude, there are over $100 in JUST fees, there were safety concerns with the property (parties, cars broken into, and questionable activities), and it's definitely not worth it. Our rent went up ridiculous amounts each year, the staff got more rude, and the property isn't upkept to be safe for kids or even adultsProperty Manager Responded
May 23, 2022Hi Erica, We're sorry to see your review. I'd like to address a few of your concerns: Unfortunately, the condition of the apartment was poor when you moved out. There were pet urine stains on the carpet, and crayon and marker on the walls - requiring additional paint to cover. All charges are photographed and available for you to review. Our records show that your total rent, including fees, was $1,262 - far less than $1,500. Lastly, we're sorry we couldn't let you out of your lease early, but we wish you the best with your new home.

Small and Sweet
January 12, 2020It’s a quiet little complex with an awesome location: right around the corner from the Roanoke River Greenway and Main Street’s shopping and restaurants, plus easy access to I-81 and Roanoke. The apartments have all been remodeled and look nice, inside and out. Overall, everything looked fairly clean, trash was picked up, porches weren’t loaded with junk, no loud music was ever played near us, all of our maintenance concerns were resolved, and no bugs. It feels safe, and the office and ...maintenance staff are SUPER friendly and personable! Parking could get tight (especially if you got home late), the floor above us was pretty creaky, and the layouts are pretty small. August 19, 2015Located in a safe, quiet neighborhood, the 2 bedroom apartment at Salem Woods is a great start for someone looking for an affordable place to live with room to expand. These apartments are also great for people with pets or children and they include a playground, large clean swimming pool, and a walking trail around the apartment buildings. There are also bags and trash cans conveniently located around the apartment buildings and amenities for cleaning up after pets. The eat in kitchen has plenty ...of room for storage and a dining room table, and there is tons of closet space and storage space throughout the apartment. Washer and dryer located in each apartment is another added bonus, and there is no separate water bill to pay for the apartment.
