Excellent apartment community!!
January 12, 2023This is a fabulous apartment community!! I moved to this area for work and was very unfamiliar with the area. I spent months searching communities and reading reviews. I stopped in one afternoon and met with Matt who was kind and attentive and caring to my needs and situation. He listened and gave a great tour of the community. Learn how to repair things yourself
September 26, 2022expect to pay extra money over your deposit when you move out. Normal contractors would be out their mind to charge what san marino charges for a $40 dollar trip to lowes, an hour of labor, and a half an hour lesson on youtube. I don't know what your contractors quote you, San Marino, but I hope you get the discounted rate for repairs with tenants in the unit. I hope what you're charging for repairs on move out is you just ripping people off, because then it's only the renter who's the sucker and ...not you too.Property Manager Responded

March 21, 2019I absolutley love living here. Maintenance comes to fix work orders promptly, and are pleasant. The office staff is also very nice and actuallly make you feel important by addressing your concerns and needs right away. The residents are friendly, and kind. I have lived in Houston over 10 years and have lived in over 5 apartments and San Marino is by far the best place I’ve ever resided!Property Manager Responded

Security is a joke
August 13, 2017Two days ago this apartment complex at San Marino had multiple apartments broken into at mid-day to late afternoon. The security guard who drives around in his cart is just for looks and literally drives around not checking anything or asking anyone if they live there. They told everyone to get renter's insurance (it's required to rent here already anyways) after the fact which basically tells you they can't protect anyone here or your property. Getting in and out of the complex is easy and ...anyone can get in at all times of the day by following tenants or guests of tenants. One tenant already had their tires slashed. My guess is the next crimes that are coming are assault or something worse. I hope this review causes anyone thinking about coming here to avoid this place. They won't let tenants out of their leases as they would lose money but they don't care about your welfare or safety or your property either. Avoid San Marino apartments like the plague (in Houston, Texas 77070). They do not care about security here.Property Manager Responded
August 14, 2017We're disappointed that recent events have resulted in a negative perception of our community. Unfortunately, crime has no address, and we appreciate the assistance of law enforcement in resolving this concern. Furthermore, while the wellbeing of our residents is a top priority, we do not provide security, nor do we advertise that we do. Our community has a gate attendant who secures the common areas at night and makes routine patrols through the evening. If residents are aware of any suspicious or criminal behavior, we strongly encourage them to notify us and the police. Lastly, we have an excellent onsite management team who would be happy to discuss your concerns in person with you. Please stop by the office at your convenience.
