Live somewhere newer if you can
June 24, 2025I lived here for 3 years. Would reccomend a newer building if you have the option, as they have lots of maintenance issues here and are not good about fixing them. Expect to spend extra due to maintenance issues that are not fixed in a timely manner. During summer and fall 2024 while I was a resident, I had to put in 5 tickets for issues with my air conditioning with it being totally not working during some of the hottest days of the year. They provided a portable AC for some of that time, but ...that only cooled part of the apartment. When the 5th ticket was actioned, the maintenance team made a mistake which led to the heat running all day while I was at work and my coming home to a 91 degree apartment. This was not only uncomfortable, it ruined bottles of wine and melted chocolate I brought back from Europe to give out as gifts. It also used a significant amount of electricity, which the property manager was unwilling to provide any kind of compensation and was generally callous when discussing my HVAC. Other issues that led to me spending my own money included the refrigerator not cooling after multiple “fixes” didn’t work and the groceries within the fridge being destroyed multiple times. It would have been cheaper for them to just replace the fridge given the number of issues, which would have also given me a much better experience. When I finally moved out of my apartment, I was charged $134 for carpet damage and when I questioned this I was sent a photo of the carpet with a shadow cast over it and a small mark that did not indicate any kind of stain. This was clearly wear and tear from my 3 years of living there, but since losing money to their shoddy maintenance was not enough during my residency, I am also being robbed upon moving out. I wish I could have charged Saratoga Crossing for the damages when my property was destroyed and my electricity bill was up 30% due to 5 maintenance tickets not being actioned effectively. I love this place...
October 24, 2020I've been here for three years, and I had not had a single issue beyond a few minor inconveniences here and there. It's been great. PROS: The property is very clean, and well-maintained with a modern/contemporary look, and comprised of VERY spacious apartments with everything you'd need; washer/dryer hookups, double sink with a hose, etc. Management frequently has community events like raffles, giveaways, etc., and they used to have parties and gatherings before COVID, and they are very ...communicative and transparent with tenants by way of texts, etc. From move-in, the staff has been very open and welcoming, and extremely attentive, and the maintenance guys have been fantastic; taking care of any issue quickly, neatly, and efficiently. There has been almost NO NOISE. This is, hands down, the quietest place I've ever lived at. The only place I've been that's been quieter has been my cousins house in Bluffton (a farming community about two hours away). I've never had the need to file noise complaints, or involve law enforcement, and have only had to say anything to my neighbors maybe twice over the span of three years. It... is... the best. CONS: Valet trash service; they started it last year, and I never use it, but I still have to pay for it. More of a personal annoyance, really, but worth noting. My only real complaint about the property is the parking. There is no guest/visitor parking that I've been made aware of in my three plus years here, and this can be problematic on weekends, especially if you work nights and/or weekends (I do). Mostly everyone living there works the usual 9 to 5 from Monday - Friday, and when I come home from work around 1 AM-ish on a Friday/Saturday night, I sometimes have to park on the other side of the pool behind the leasing office or in front of another building. IN CLOSING Overall, the pros far outweigh the cons, here. It's quiet, it's close to the main road, which makes it easy to get to, and it's right across the street from a police station. There's also a Wal-Mart grocery store, a CVS, and everything else you'd need within walking distance, which is an added bonus. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL
July 6, 2018Please DO NOT MOVE IN. The office staff are a nightmare to deal with. They lure you in with false hope that you'll be taken care of and that you're going to LOVE living here, but you won't. The staff is rude, condescending, and obnoxious. They gave me a "get out of jail free card" to be able to pay a month of rent late without late fees, they wrote my apartment number down wrong on the card and my move in date and then told me I couldn't use it because THEY MESSED IT UP. Parking is absolutely ...horrendous. There is almost always NO PARKING SPOTS available and the ones that are, are a hike away from your apartment. There is more than likely a TON of stuff wrong with the apartment they're going to place you in. Weve had to have maintenance out to the apartment A LOT and weve only been here a couple months!! Not to mention that the pool is small, dirty and nasty. The best part of living here is that when the maintenance people come out, they're nice and friendly.. so if the only thing you care about is nice maintenance guys then this is the place for you!! Way overpriced and weird insurance policy
March 23, 2018The apartments were nice but overpriced. If you want so called upgrades such as a tile black splash, stainless steel appliances, or the fake hardwood floors it comes at a cost. The floors are an extra $40 a month and the black splash in the kitchen is an extra $20 a month. After figuring out that having the upgraded floors would cost $480 for a year having carpet and linoleum doesn't seem so bad. Its astounding they push those costs off to the tenants. Why not just have a basic and an upgraded ...model? Also, they require a $100,000 insurance policy be taken out and Saratoga listed as the beneficiary. I have lived in several mid-upscale apartments and while renters insurance is one thing I have never heard of this before. Little bit of city, little bit of country
August 14, 2015For living the apartment life I have to say that our's is pretty nice. The apartment itself has high ceilings, a walk-in closet in the master, and the bedrooms have plenty of space. The maintenance crew here rocks and are very prompt when a repair needs done. There is a nice pool that is cleaned every day with plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas. We are just outside of town so you get that quiet, "country" type of living but just a quick drive from all of the shops and restaurants. The ...parking can be tricky at times and of course sometimes not so ideal neighbors move in. 1 bedroom living
August 4, 2015The complex at Saratoga crossing is modern living made simple. I have a 1 bedroom apartment in a downstairs unit. It has high ceilings and plenty of space. The kitchen is suitable. A full laundry room. The bedroom is the best part with 2 closets. Which is a must have for the amount of suits and dress shirts in my wardrobe. The dining room has room enough for a tv and a 6 person seating table and chairs. High counter tops around the kitchen are a little hard to find suitable chairs for. The fact ...that it's all electric is a plus. However the lack of energy efficient Windows and sliding glass doors makes for cold winters and high heat bills. Even with double layer plastic up. The maintenance team is prompt. The facility and grounds are being updated and cleaned. They could us new roofs every storm brings shingles down now. Can't be good for those in upstairs units when leaks form. For the 1 bedroom model I'm in its kinda pricey and they raise rent every lease Which is forcing me to move when my current lease expires. It's not worth 750$ a month. Even with there exercise facility which has a lot of broken equipment and pool being included in there pricing. Its give and take.
