January 27, 2026This is a building in an amazing location that needs a lot of TLC. It's tired and needs work. Some good renovations have occurred on the roof, at a glacial pace. January 13, 2026Skyhouse Raleigh is in desperate need of a 'refreshing' of the building. Carpets are dirty. Walls are marked and need repainting. The floors in the elevators are scarred and the elevators often stink of marijuana or dog urine. November 25, 2025The concierge service personnel are kind and professional. The response is very good even though there are things out of their control. The cart service needs to be updated ( there needs to be a check out process so the concierge would know who checked the cart out. The price that is paid for parking is horrible: Garage is dirty all the time. Issue has been addressed but was told by the parking personnel it was not their responsibility to clean up glass and trash at the entrance coming to the ...building.Property Manager Responded

The parking garage is owned by The Car Park, however, should you ever notice any areas of concern in our stairwells within the parking deck, please let us know and our onsite cleaning team can take care of it. We are also happy to reach out to The Car Park for cleaning requests as well. Whenever you notice something, we are happy to take care of it, we just need to be made aware. For the luggage racks, we have two available on a first-come, first-served basis. If they are not available, it means that they are being utilized. A lot of our residents and those in urban environments purchase collapsible wagons on amazon that fit easily inside your car and would always be available for your use. Thank you for your compliments on our concierge team -- we will be sure to share that with them!

Disappointing since Grey Star took over
June 2, 2025I wish I could give this place zero stars. The management team is absolutely terrible. They are not only unhelpful but also rude and condescending, making residents feel unwelcome in what should be a community. The common areas are poorly maintained, which is frustrating to see when you pay good money to live here. It's disappointing to feel ignored and disrespected by the very people who are supposed to support us. I would not recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a pleasant living ...experience. We would love to have you stop by the office to talk about our current and ongoing renovation projects, in addition to addressing your specific concerns. When we took over in August, the building was in need of some refreshing, which is what we have been working on since takeover. So far, we have replaced the pool heater, secured a year-round pool permit, worked with the parking garage company to get the gate arms up and working, repaired the fire pit, started a complete renovation project (currently happening!) on all of our amenities and will soon be replacing the flooring and painting the resident corridors. Stay Away for the Short-Term or Hope for Change for the Long-Term
January 22, 2025I have lived here for several years with several building management teams. I would currently recommend not living at SkyHouse. SkyHouse is best known for its views and its safety. However, it no longer the same luxury standards set by previous building managements. This appears to be in-large part as Greystar changes the strategy held by previous managements. The management team has struggled with their communication of severe maintenance issues (including the commonly known elevator woes) -- ...which do not appear to be close to being resolved despite it being a several month issue. The management team also appears to be struggling with the frustration expressed by current residents, incredibly protective rather than being conversational about issues. It is one thing to be upset, it is another to not be hospitable. Greystar has also begun to focus on catering to shorter-term stays -- including allowing AirBnb hosting and a new feature of a "guest stay." The building is forgo-ing cleaning carpets on floors in pursuit of new non-carpeted flooring and is making changes to the clubroom area that will impact quality of life. The building feels stripped of the qualities that made it a great place to stay, in-lieu for a cheapened approached intent on generating money. It is evident that Greystar has a vision however that vision does not look out for current residents or residents in the short-term.Property Manager Responded

We want to make sure that everything here is safe and ready for resident use, so rather than rush the repair for a quick fix, we prefer a long-term sustainable option for safety and longevity. I know the downtime has been frustrating, but we do appreciate your patience. I apologize that you feel the scope of our current renovation project does not fit your current lifestyle -- we are replacing the flooring in the hallways to make the building cleaner and more appealing. The furniture replacement in the clubroom and new coffee machine will only enhance the space and certainly not take away from it. I do also want to touch on the AirBnB rentals that you mentioned. We only are allowed a certain percentage per number of units on site, and all renters are vetted and screened the same way that residents are. There ...truly is no difference in status between those that live here and the few times a year that someone would stay here short term. It also allows a great option for someone to use their apartment as a rental platform should they need to break their lease early. Do Not Move Here!!!
January 14, 2025As a current resident, I cannot stress enough how far this place has declined. It is way worse than I ever expected it to get, I wish I could give negative stars. 1. The Building is Filthy The hallways are some of the dirtiest and most disgusting I’ve ever seen and such unsightly stains everywhere you look. It’s embarrassing to have guests over and make them walk through such unclean conditions. There is one cleaning person on staff who is always in the lobby "vacuuming" —but nothing ever looks ...clean. It seems like she is just pretending to clean, as no area has seen a vacuum or proper cleaning in months. 2. Amenities Are a Joke Most of the amenities are broken and have been since I moved in. Even the ones that “work” are frustrating to use. For example, the upstairs TVs have about 10 remotes, but none of them actually function with the TVs. Instead of fixing these persistent issues that residents repeatedly raise, management has added a new, completely useless amenity that you have to pay extra for. 3. Guest Parking Was Removed One of the main reasons we chose to live here was the access to guest parking. Mid-lease, they took it away with no real solution other than telling residents to “contact NC Park.” This shows a complete lack of accountability and disrespect for residents. 4. Broken Elevators and Long Wait Times Prepare to add an extra 15 minutes to your schedule just to leave the building. One elevator has been broken for ages, and the remaining one is so overburdened that there’s often a line in the lobby. The other day, I had to wait through multiple elevator trips before I could finally get on. 5. Management is Nonexistent The property management consistently fails to address issues. They don’t fix anything, they take away amenities, and they make false promises about renovations and hallway repainting that never happen. Their disregard for residents’ concerns is beyond frustrating. Final Thoughts I, along with several other residents, will definitely be moving out after our lease due to the poor management and the rapidly deteriorating living conditions. At this rate, I’d be shocked if anyone renews their lease. To management: Step up and start taking responsibility for your property and your residents’ experiences.Property Manager Responded

As we just took over in August, we have all of these replacements and renovations that were in the works from the last management company planned for this year. We have also engaged an elevator consultant to come up wi th the best course of action for our busy elevators. In regard to the amenities, all of them are working. In fact, since our takeover in August, we have replaced the pool heater, successfully applied for a year-round pool permit and are the only rooftop, heated, year-round saltwater pool in the city and repaired the fire pit. We are also switching to a better coffee provider in March and have even added a new amenity to the property, a Guest Suite, last month. Of course, should you have a specific concern that we can address and fix for you, please let us know. We are in the office every day except for Sunday. Thanks again and we appreciate you being a resident!
