    This is such a wonderful apartment complex, they have fun raffles events every month that are unique and make residents feel special. They answer maintenance issues right away. The apartments themselves are spacious. They are proactive about pest control. Tara and Megan are friendly and kind. The amenities like the gym and the pool are amazing and I really value being able to have a washer and dryer in my apartment. If your apartment doesn’t have a washer and dryer, they have facilities right ...

    This complex is absolutely terrible. Ranging from the disgusting, outdated units to the overall unsafe feeling you are met by living here. On top of it all the front office is useless in addressing any concerns or violations that are made. Let this be your warning to save your time and money and find somewhere else. Do not be fooled at their pathetic attempts to raise their ratings by false reviews.

    My family and I have been living here for 3 years now. We love the pool and the neighborhood. We haven't had any major issues out here so far. We live in one of the townhouses. We don't hear noise from our neighbors and no one has said anything about hearing our kids be kids when they are inside. We put in a work order and majority of the time they are here to fix it the same day. If not the same day, they will be here the next day. The maintenance guys and office staff are very polite and ...
    friendly. They have community activities you can attend. So far there have been movies night, music bingo, ice cream bar, pool party...those are a few. Yes, our rent has gone up every year we have been here. But that's almost every place in Greenville. Our neighbors are friendly and our children loves playing with the neighborhood kids in our circle. We love it here but our goal is to buy a house. Until then, we will continue to make Southgate our home and enjoy seeing the smiling faces at the office.

    If I knew what I know now, I would never have signed a lease. Management is polite up until your name is signed on your lease. After that they treat you as a joke. My downstairs neighbors have a husky that howls/whines and barks at all hours of the day and night with a prime example being from 11pm to 1am with video clips to prove it. The howling and whining is continuous. By this I don’t mean it’s here and there I literally mean it howls at excessive noise levels anytime the tenants leave, with ...
    no breaks. I have notified the office of this just about once if not twice every month since they moved in. I have been given every excuse but by far my favorite is “there’s nothing we can do.” And this wasn’t just told to me by a leasing agent but the manager of the property. I urge you to please please please read these reviews because the past couple have all been something pertaining to unacceptable noise levels from other tenants. And regardless of the response they give me on this site, don’t for a second believe that they will do anything for me or change anything as this has been an ongoing complaint for 7 months now with no resolution or acknowledgment.     Do not rent... my one year lease here, being new to greenville, was a nightmare. upon entering my new home it had an insane amount of damage. cabinets falling off hinges, toilets not bolted to the floor, black stained mirrors, and holes in my bathtub? My neighbors were up every hour of the day and night and were LOUD. no amount of noise complaints or maintenance requests could get management's attention. They had the audacity to raise my rent by almost 200$ to renew my lease, like screw that. ...

    1) Tenants' dogs poop in front of your door and their owners don't pick them up, when you report it to the office they ask if you've seen the person, they don't send anyone to clean up. They don't send anyone to clean up and they don't do anything. 2) Thieves searched my car and I notified the office, but they told me it had happened to several people, that I could lodge a complaint and that they didn't have a camera. Since then, they've done nothing and it's happened a second time. 3) They never ...

Even the office came one day to do renovations in this apartment without making a warning note, I was sick and couldn't rest. When I went to talk to them, they told me they hadn't thought to warn me because it wasn't my apartment. 4) They put pressure on you when you have to renew your rent. they raise the price considerably, every week they wait for a response from you, the price will go up again. 5) They have no empathy. I have a very sick family member and found myself going back and forth between NY and NC, I didn't have time to look for another apartment and was hesitant to move. They sent me the renewal letter and called me every other day, sometimes even when I was in the hospital. With treatment, travel and my inability to work full-time, I didn't want to spend any more money, and every week spent mulling over a decision risked increasing the cost of rent. I went to see the manager, explained everything to her and she said we could always see together what could be done. I signed the contract and a few days later I received some bad news: I had to move. I went to see the manager and she told me I had to pay $1750 to cancel the contract, which was due to start in two months. I said, "Can't we do something? Can't I talk to someone and explain? Can't we prorate this penalty, given that the contract was due to start on December 21? The only solution she offered me was to continue paying for the apartment until he rented it, or to find someone to take the apartment and my deposit would go to that person. It's not that I don't want to pay anything, but I find it really unfair to pay the full penalty for a contract that hasn't even started, and that they didn't even try to find a solution with me when I explained my situation and my money problems. So far everything has been a hassle, moving in was not easy at all, they didn’t communicate how much I was expected to pay when I tried to move in and they expected me to fix it without offering any kind of help. Paying rent is a hassle since for some reason Navy Federal Credit Union, a worldwide known banking establishment, isn’t supported by their apartment app, so now I have to pay my rent with a credit ...
    card and a $30 convenience fee is added (not very convenient for me). Also don’t believe them when they say that if you are hired by a preferred employer you get $200 off your first months rent because that is not true.
