I’ve had nothing but a good experience since I have been living here which has been almost 3 years. I couldn’t be more happy. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a nice place to live that is reasonably priced and safe, I have great neighbors and I’m within a short distance as most shopping areas. I like that the maintenance is spot on and efficient when it comes to solving any issues within the facility. June 17, 2024I live at the hillside townhouse, which is ran by the same ppl, been here a year, just signed our least for the next year, haven't had too many problems, maitnance is pretty quick to respond, area is pretty quiet. A lot of space in the townhomes.Review from Apartments.com

They’re pet friendly, which I appreciate. They’re good with doing any work or maintenance in a timely manner. The neighbors are usually quiet & friendly. Things you may need are very close to the complex which is convenient. Last resort
October 10, 2015South wood gave me one of the most horrible renting experiences ever! They don't change or even clean the carpet when people move out they just spray paint it, so blue dye stained my kids socks I literally had to buy new socks every few weeks. They send out notices for pest control but never come and actually do it. Also they don't have any good management. Lisa(who was addicted to heroin and stole people's deposit money orders) was the property manager, then they hired a tenant who had no ...experience and was addicted to meth, she quit after she got her first check and left to Florida then they had other managers from their other properties come and they didn't really care what was going on over there. Maintenance man lives in the property and never fixes anything because he said he doesn't get paid unless the manager gives him the ok (but there's no manager at this time) they have free cable but other than that this woul be a last resort because they'll rent to anybody!Property Manager Responded
September 18, 2018Southwood apartments is under new management since the time of this review. Southwood apartments does not dye carpet. All carpets are steam cleaned prior to move-in. Pest control is now handled by a reputable third party company. The manager or maintenance do not live on property, and were not hired as tenants. We encourage you to revisit the property since your last stay and see the upgrades to the community. We are sorry for any bad experience you have had. Thank you.
