NEVER EVER rent a unit in Spectrum. Waste of money!
November 11, 2022If I was able to give them zero star, I would do that!!!!!!!!!!. NEVER EVER rent a unit at Spectrum Apartments!!!!!!!!!!! If you like your money, NEVER EVER rent a unit at Spectrum Apartment. There are a lot of problems with these apartments: 1) They usually calculate your rent incorrectly. If you recognize it, they will revise it. If you did not recognize it, so you paid it. They charged us for the Internet two times in one month. When we found that, they changed it instantly. 2) We only lived ...there 45 days due to a lot of problems and they charged us $140 for cleaning and $90 for carpet cleaning. I previously lived in a community for one year and they never charged me for cleaning because I am very clean. However, they charged me 230 for cleaning!!!!!!!!!!!!! They charge you as far as they can! 3) You will lose your mailing package if you live in Spectrum Apartments. There are a lot of mixed packages in three buildings. To find your mailing package, you must search all buildings. We lost one of our packages and the managers were never responsive. 4) The managers and staff are not responsive and impolite. I experienced bad and impolite reactions from managers and staff several times. 5) Some nights, their workers forgot to take trash on time. The hallway was dirty most of the time. 6) There always is a bad smelling in the hallway. 7) They show you a model unit that is totally different from the unit you are going to move in. They showed us a unit with new cabinets and kitchen stuff. However, when we moved in, we realized that all stuff is very old and different from what we saw in the model. 8) When they are convincing you to rent their apartments, they are nice. Beautiful building but unorganized staff lately
February 11, 2022Former resident (lived there for 4 years). If you appreciate artistic interior design, the Spectrum Majestic building is a dream. Noise insulation was great, and the building itself was mostly clean. Maintenance staff was typically friendly, with hit or miss response times. Biggest qualm was how the move out was handled. Several mistakes made by the staff, and my security deposit was withheld for "standard apartment cleaning and carpet replacement" (i.e. not based on inspection results).Review from Apartments.com
Don't bother
August 8, 2021I've lived at quite a few apartment communities in my lifetime and I can say living at Spectrum was the worst. The management is awful. They will nickel and dime you for everything. Not Pet Friendly
April 13, 2020My biggest complaint is that this apartment is not pet friendly at all. According to their lease your dog is only suppose to relieve themselves on a thin strip of fake grass across the street from the apartment or you can be fined. This place looks for any reason to fine you. There is also a door to the outside of the apartment that has been broken for a month or more, which is very unsafe.Review from Apartments.com
A very happy experience living at Spectrum Majestic / Paramount
April 12, 2019I'm moving out in April 2019 only because I'm getting married. Otherwise, I would have renewed w/o hesitation. Working from home as a single guy, I found the 1BR/Den configuration to be perfect. The apartment was a solid value and I'm frankly a little sad to be leaving. The community is very welcoming and warm. I enjoyed having restaurants and dry cleaning just steps away. The common spaces and pools are excellent and everything is well-maintained. And I can't say enough about the leasing ...office staff, led by Ishi. An example: I was in NYC for meetings and realized I'd left my drivers license on the printer in my apartment. The next day I had an appt at the Federal Reserve and there's no way one can get in w/o ID. I would've had a lot of explaining to do had I blown that meeting. I called the office to see if they could help, and Ishi didn't hesitate. She went to my apt, got the license and arranged a Fedex pickup. The package was at the hotel front desk the next morning in time for the meeting. Incredible service, and that's just one example. The management at Spectrum are fortunate to have Ishi leading that fine staff. All in all, I easily rate my experience this past year at Spectrum as 5/5 stars.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Too Loud and No Security Guards
March 20, 2019Very loud apartments. The walls are paper-thin and all noise is coming into the apartments from everywhere. It is unbearable to live in such conditions if one is working from home. Also, the noise was reported to the management and they have done nothing about it and never tried to accommodate the resident or offer a change of unit. The $250 deposit at the end is not returnable, but they say they return the money when they sign the lease.Review from Apartments.com
Wonderful!
September 9, 2017Lived here for about 1.5 months and love it more every day. Very fast with maintenance requests and very friendly and efficient in the management office. I also love how quiet the units are but if I want i can go down to the restaurants for entertainment on weekends. I don't have a single bad thing to say.
