    Can't say enough about this place. Excellent apartment, grounds, amenities and management. Maintenance requests are responded to within 10 minutes with a smile and quality results. Highly recommend this place!

  • Nice area in town, feels safe, but beware of the Manager!

    My experience with Stearns Street Apartments has been mixed. This complex is nice. It's away from the South side of town ( the University side) so there aren't really any loud college kids. However, there do seem to be quite a few families with small children and babies. Which I knew there was bound to be, BUT there are so many. We lived next door to the loudest girl who had 2 small children. They woke us up every morning screaming outside of our bedroom window. We could hear them clearly through ...
    the walls every night. To the other side of us was a married couple that just had a newborn baby. It has been crying and screaming every night. So lots of families. One other thins I didn't like was the manager DeeDee. She seems nice at first but once you ask for anything that puts her out, she becomes really hostile and rude. My husband has watched as she made her employee who is a much older woman cry her eyes out for making one small mistake in the office. She isn't very professional at all. But she does seem to play favorites so if you get on her good side as soon as you get there, then maybe you will be ok. She is a big stickler for rules and isn't very understanding or accommodating. The actual apartment is nice. Feels very safe. However, when we moved in, the carpet was DIRTY. Stains everywhere and one huge grease or oil stain in the middle of the living room. They claimed they had cleaned it but said it couldn't be replaced at this point. Just dealing with that I guess. The amenities are really nice though. Great gym, nice pool area. No issues there. It's really mixed feelings for me. If you are wanting to be on the North side of town, then this would be a good complex to look into. Just beware of DeeDee! And if you don't want to be around a lot of young children then maybe look elsewhere.

  • quiet and comfortable

    Stearns Street is a nice, quiet complex. It's great for singles and young people going out on their own for the first time. Neighbors are friendly and keep to themselves. The property is very clean and well maintained. The location is amazing, close to the mall and down town, but away from all the college hustle. The only downside is that the manager is very nosey. So far, Stearns Street has been a good fit for me!

    Stearns Street apartment community is a great place to live. It is a property owned by Lindsey Management, which would deter a lot of people because there have been bad reviews of the company. But, people should take it on a case-by-case basis. The staff of Stearns Street has never been anything less than friendly and professional. They don't act like you're bothering them when you come to the office and ask a question. The amenities (pool, gym, office area) are clean and very nice. Any time ...
    we've had any maintenance requests they've been taken care of before we get home from work the next day! They also spray and change out air filters promptly and regularly. We've never seen a single cockroach! Better yet, it's close to restaurants, shopping, and the bike trails but it doesn't seem to be in the middle of a busy section of town because there are trees all around! Perfect location.
