    Had to go to court and they still refuse to return our security deposit

    Despite scrubbing our apartment for a week, Steckbeck apartments charged my husband and I an additional $500 in cleaning fees totaling over $1,000 AFTER keeping the security deposit. Simply running the electric heat in our walkout basement style apartment left soot marks on the walls which reappeared no matter how often we scrubbed the walls. Despite attempting to negotiate and contacting the Better Business Burea (where misleading and rude letters regarding our toddler son were submitted from a ...
    handyman) we could not come to a logical conclusions. We were forced to go to court, where the judge sided with us, and ruled a majority of our security deposit be returned. Our calls are being ignored and messages aren’t returned by Steckbeck Apartments! Save yourself the headache and rent somewhere else!
