Summer Place Apartments have been my home for 3 years and love it.
Pros: spacious and affordable; high quality customer service.
Cons: a little old construction, so the floors are noisy. You will always have squeaky noise when walkaround. Besides that, highly recommended.

Surroundings are beautiful. The staff at Summer Place is on top of anything you ever ask. The property Manager is on top of things and super friendly every time i see her on property or in office. Any issues in my apartment was fixed in a timely fashion. Upkeep of property is great. Perfect place to retire. Close to anything you could want/ need.
As for maintenance, To the owner of Summer Place. Help your maintenance men out and put a camera on at the compactor so that fines can be given for ...

Very quiet complex! the pool and gym are nice as well. However, beware that the property manager will never even acknowledge you!!! Beth works in the first office and she has addressed all of my work orders and questions since the day she started working here. She is always very helpful and sweet! i guess it just frustrates me that the manager doesn't care to get to know her residents like Beth does. But overall, a good property. . . will most likely be renewing my lease.

we moved out of these apartments not long ago because we bought a house, but we absolutely loved living here! we had the best neighbors and anytime we had to call in work orders or pay our rent beth was the most pleasant person to deal with! i will say, neither my husband or myself cared for the property manager, as she came off very rude and entitled. but beth always seemed to be the one that handled everything for everyone and she was always very personable towards us and all the other tenants ...
we saw her interact with. the manager seemed to never want to get out of her office chair!

Just saw this sight because I heard there was a bad review.
I would to know who is that unhappy and still here.
I love this development.
It is what YOU make it to be. It is my home, neat, clean and friendly.
When in the pool area, if you use the grill, clean it after. If you move furniture, put it back. There are trash cans for your garbage, pick up after yourselves. Treat as you would your interior.
Makes,me wonder how some live.
The trash problem,....new compactor on order, so we have a ...
drop box, which means, drop inside of box. Walk around the three sides in toss your bag in, not in front of doors.
When I have company come over, very proud of MY PLACE. The LAWN RANGER is doing a great job here. Very detailed grooming. Nice guy Adam.
As far as the staff here, no problems at all.
Calls to office, even after hours are responded to very quickly.
Makes you feel good to know, any problem is one call away.
They seem to know everyone by name. I love hearing the kids in the pool hollering hello to the maintenance guys by name and them hollering back to the kids by their name.
The girls are always very busy and business like, but yet still got that homey touch. The office is always so neat and smells great.
If you are looking for a HOME, check SUMMER PLACE out.
I have found my FOREVER HOME.

Convenient location but worst office staff

I've never seen an apartment complex more proud of its garbage Dumpster than Summer Place Apartments off Hobbs Road in South Huntsville. It overflows at least once a week, making us feel like we're living next to a landfill. The office staff, particularly a lady named Beth, is the most incompetent, unresponsive people I've ever dealt with. We have six major repairs that need to be made, all of them at least a month old and some more than a year old, and you can't get anybody at the office to fix ...
anything, and that's if you can even get a timely response from them. They just seem to sit in the office and play on their computers all day. The office is supposed to be open till five, but they leave early all the time, so if you plan to pick up a package or anything, you better do it early in the day. It's sad because the location is so convenient, but it doesn't quite outweigh the utter incompetence of the people running the place. I've never complained about any place I've ever lived, but it's gotten so ridiculously bad here that I just wanted to warn the next person.

Not only is my apartment nice and cozy, but the office and maintenance staff are amazing, very professional and compassionate! The apartment complex is very quiet and well maintained.
