The Best Apartment complex in Niskayuna
January 12, 2018I have been a tenant at Tall Oaks for 32 years, so I can provide a unique, informed perspective. Prior to moving here, I lived in three other Niskayuna apartment complexes, none of which compares to Tall Oaks, for the following reasons: These apartments are exceptionally large, bright, and very well equipped. The grounds are Park-Like, beautiful, and meticulously-maintained. The staff is perhaps the Best feature of Tall Oaks...whenever I have called with a problem, they fix it within hours, not ...days like some complexes. The crew also helps many older tenants clean snow from their cars, and other challenging tasks, because they care. Many of the tenants have been here for decades; the Tall Oaks community is their "Family." Finally, within the past 2 months, brand new windows and venetian blinds have been installed in every single apartment. Every unit is getting a "makeover" when new tenants move in, i.e. new kitchen cabinets, counters, tile floors, vanities. These newly-remodeled apartments are the nicest I have seen anywhere. Give Chris, our rental manager, a call...she is extremely helpful and you will love her. You will not be disappointed.Property Manager Responded

This apartments suck
October 18, 2017We have lived here for 8 years and now moving. They no longer allow gas grills or gas fire pits but do not offer an alternative like a BBQ grill area and picnic tables. We have asked every year to have our air ducts cleaned because there is not heat in our bedrooms and we had to buy electric heaters for the bedrooms. I have asthma and needed them to be cleaned but never happened. Our kitchen sucks, if you place an egg on the counter...it rolls off on to the floor. The new company is raising ...rents but not fixing any issues in the apartment. If you want new things, you will be charged for it. They have a pool but it has a hole in it and they have to add water every day so it is never warm enough to swim in it. They have problems getting lifeguards so they are a lot of days that the pool is closed. The tennis courts have not been up for the previous 2 years but this year they were up. The courts are cracked and weeds growing in the cracks...they talk a good talk but they do not deliver.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
