TERRIBLE PLACE TO LIVE - DO NOT MOVE HERE
December 18, 2025Tate Tanglewood is a TERRIBLE place to live. I have been a resident at Tate Tanglewood over the last year and have had various issues since moving in. First off the neighbors at Tate Tanglewood are extremely noisy and very inconsiderate. The Neighbors I have above me are extremely loud. Kids constantly running and screaming, loud arguments, constant banging, and dog barking. Went upstairs to talk to them about keeping the noise down and they literally told me “My neighbors are noisy too, so I ...will make as much noise as I want to in my apartment.” Complained about this issue to the office for 7 months, sent dozens of videos for documentation of each noise complaint, and the office told me there is pretty much nothing they can do. Neighbors across the hall are also very noisy, kids consistently running in the hallway, and people arguing in the hallway late at night. The walls and ceilings at Tate don’t help with any of this noise as they are very thin with nothing solid between them to insulate sound. The police are frequently called to Tate so get use to seeing them all the time. Elevators go down at least 1-2 a month. Door for the garage breaks every month, so the “Secure” garage is pretty much wide open throughout the year. I have seen multiple cars left on bricks in the garage over the last year. Also the way the garage is laid out is an accident waiting to happen. The garage is very small with not much room for 2 lanes of cars to drive through and have people park on both sides. Lot of smokers at Tate so the hallways will frequently smell like cigarettes, weed, or trash. (There are a few nights where I came home and the hallway literally smelled like poop.) Living right next to HEB sounds great, but is actually the worst! HEB deliveries come in during the night, so expect to hear loud banging from the pallets they move or the alarm from trucks backing up anytime from 12am-6am. (Good luck getting a good night sleep). Dayrise office staff is only available to talk about issues half the time, the other half they are either not available or busy. The only person useful in the office is the maintenance manger Rudy. He addressed all my maintenance requests as they came up. Him and his crew have their work cut out for them though, as things are always breaking or going down here. But yeahh living at Tate Tanglewood has been very bad. (I am literally counting down the days until I move next month) DO NOT MOVE HERE!! You have been warned.Property Manager Responded

August 17, 2024It was great when I first moved in and then it went down hill. Everything is/was broke, maintenance takes forever to do jobs. Halls stink and aren’t vacuumed or cleaned. Started seeing lots of roaches. And we can’t open doors or parking garage gates from our phones anymore. Part of the reason I chose this property.Property Manager Responded

July 4, 2024Demond has been very helpful sorting out all our moving in needs and has speedily addressed all our issues. Maintenance promptly fixed a leaky sink faucet! However, the guests must be accompanied by the resident at all times when utilizing the amenity space. If valid ID and information are not provided to our staff members and they are not accompanied by the resident, we do require them to leave the premises as it is considered trespassing since we are private property. August 22, 2023It hasn't even been a month since I moved in and I am less than excited about this lease. My specific unit was unavailable to tour before the lease was signed (IKR red flag) and upon moving in I noticed the very distinct and strong scent of cigarette smoke. It has since taken hold of the entire unit and seeped into my clothes, furniture and bedding. There is a major bug problem in this unit and it was (clearly) not cleaned prior to my move in. MGMT has set out bait for bugs which have filled to ...the brim and slapped a scented air filter in my unit to mask the smell (it lasted 4 days max). I've been given no other options and will never recommend this building to anyone.Property Manager Responded

Amazing Improvement!
June 16, 2023Loving the new manager here and how much she is trying to clean up and improve the community! A true leader. My apartment complex is coming along, slowly, but surely with her here now. She is also heavily improved the communication to the residents. The updates are amazing. Not like before where they only yelled at residents about towing cars out front. We had no idea what updates and changes were being made for improvement. Now we do with Maria! So Much Potential
September 27, 2022Beautiful Building, nice art, nice gym, gorgeous 2 story town home layouts. That is where the good ends. Cons: 4 times in the last month walking to my car to go to work and passing a giant pile of dog poop in the hallway. Once in the parking garage consistently see cars with their tires stolen, cars/trucks on bricks, windows busted, etc. Hallways consistently smell like trash and/or animal waste. Pretty sure they don't vacuum, shampoo, or mop any of the hallways/elevators. Maintenance people ...are really nice, but hit or miss if they come to fix something, and while they have 18.5 foot gorgeous ceilings, no ladder tall enough to replace light bulbs so I've lived 3 years with no functioning light in the kitchen. Finally moving out. Price was great for the niceness of my individual unit, but can not recommend the complex, the staff, or the other residents. (Who lets their dog poo in the hallway and doesn't clean it up? Over. And Over. And Over again.) As far as I know, Tate doesn't clean it up either. Other residents have been maintaining their hallway. I know I've vacuumed our hallway carpet, put out honey/vinegar to trap a fly infestation that happened when trash wasn't collected for 2 weeks, and sprayed the hallways with deodorizer to eliminate animal waste and trash smells.Property Manager Responded
